I could actually watch Vaughn in almost anything. Not in "True Detective" in which he was bad, though. For his defense, nobody could have said Pizzolatto's truly awful lines and get away with it.
Dave Franco is insufferable as a mentally-disabled young man but otherwise it's the traditional Vince Vaughn's comedy where

I believe you.
Still, odd these hang-ups people have about sex.

I thought it was an odd proposition on her part and I don't think that it was in character.

Refreshing, pragmatic perspective on things. A not moralizing point of view is always interesting.

Someone should tell him that he's stupid.

Noah is a dick, that's not even debatable. But remember he still "saved" Allison and probably Cole.
Life works in mysterious ways.

I had forgotten about that! Thanks!

They just love being pests to each other.

he is the cliché of a mess. I found Cole a little too blunt with his "you look like shit".

I found Luisa singularly patronizing with Cherry when she discovered her new job and considering that her mother is in the housekeeping business too. Though I understand it is not a dream profession, it is not dishonorable in any manner.

Sometimes people are being objective and register things as they are.

At this point, I feel compelled to say that her voice, tone and diction are insufferable.

As usual, I'll need ten more years to have a better idea of what was good this year and more urgently one year to listen to all that I've downloaded or was deemed "good" or "tremendous" here and there.
(Possible) contenders though : Prince, Corey Dargel, Chelsea Wolfe, Autour De Lucie, Jon DeRosa, Joanna Newsom, Anna

I found Downcast Scotty quite endearing. But I love the cardboard villains on the show (that is, he and Oscar).

He didn't know it was his daughter. Be fair!

Is the Lockhart's curse supposed to make her stupid?

I'm with you on this. And it was so mechanical, with some meta-asides directed at the audience.
