The worst part about unpaid internships is that it means only people who have outside financial support can have the opportunity and get the experience.

And you should always pay them because they’re doing real work!

I always paid my interns, but I would say the work they did was always much more valuable than the rate of pay. They often make full timers look bad, but they are also kids, so they flake out, show up drunk etc. but man I have had some smart interns.
