That's true, and it's something a couple of the doctors there needed to work on - some of them were really rude and dismissive toward their patients.
I volunteered in an ER for awhile, and we got so many requests for antibiotics we had to put up signs in the waiting areas and at the front desk. Something regarding the common cold being viral in nature and antibiotics being for bacterial infections.
I did plenty of dumb shit as a teenager, and so did my friends, but nothing I did then is going to follow me or anyone else for the rest of our lives.
I worry that this will be me as well - but on the bright side, I'll be dead so I won't care?
And you should read the comments on the CBC article - lots of "innocent until proven guilty - enjoy the show!" and calling the protesters "opportunistic scumbags".
I have to admit, I hadn't heard of Alicia Cargile until today in this very article.
If Kristen Stewart is a lesbian for travelling with a girlfriend, then I guess I am a lesbian too. I travel a few times a year with a good friend of mine because my husband doesn't like to travel and I do - and I'd rather go with someone who isn't going to be miserable for the whole trip.
I had one while living in Ontario in the late 80's - and I agree, even in Ontario these were awesome no matter what horribleness the weather was inflicting on us. Plus, we used my Dad's hockey stick to "burp" the bed and free it from annoying bubbles!
"I just want the best for my little girl and all her super hot friends."
And she can only use it if her suitcase doesn't take up too much room.
I am now re-imagining "Drugs in my Pocket" by the Monks as "Cheese in my Pocket":
So, he wants an NSA sex toy/someone to do the filing? Because that's all I'm getting from this ad.
So, Marilyn Manson is still a thing. Huh.
I freely admit that I am not a doctor or medical expert here - I'm just tired of the "I've never been tested for allergies of any kind, and I have no intention of getting tested for them as it would spoil the mystery and make me less of a special little snowflake that needs to be cooed over and coddled - but I know…
I did not know about this! You must unlurk more often. :D
If the allergy is legit, then fine - you eat what you can eat without getting sick and it is what it is (which is sucky and inconvenient).
This needs more stars. Raisins are gross.
Your sister's "allergy" reminds me of my conviction as a seven year old that barfing up cream of mushroom soup while sick from the stomach flu meant that a) cream of mushroom soup causes stomach flu and b) barfing up a food means you're actually allergic to it forever (and that you're obligated to have a hissy fit if…
That really sucks - I'm sorry they couldn't pinpoint what's making you feel so terrible. Did they do blood tests, too? My allergy testing was the scratch test kind, but I hear they can test blood too (and who knows what else they might find while looking).
