I think everyone who saw the video of the play thought that initially, but once it was reported that it was a spinal contusion, a lot of the reports were saying ‘Oh, Tommy Maddox had that in 2002 and missed one game. He’ll be just fine!”.

I didn’t realize that. Too bad, I know he had the injury derail him. I remember reading something around the playoff push about how the team being in contention screwed him by ruling out a call-up that he really needed. I think that was the situation at least.

I remember a handful of absolutely mammoth homers, enough to get me excited about him. Then nothing.

I didn’t know about the coaches, that’s fantastic. Rosario’s growth this past year was insane.

Not to mention Byung-ho Park (who, honestly, I still hold out hope for even though it’s just not gonna happen).

I googled the guy to see if he was involved in some sort of scandal for which you dislike him. Didn’t find anything like that, but his Wikipedia page is quite pompous, and one fact’s citation is “Statements from former neighbors of Mihalich family” which seems like overkill.

I initially read 19/43 as an indicator of where he was in his tweet storm or whatever you call those and was ready to argue that he deserved a suspension for subjecting us to that.

You know, now that I think about it, I think I had this commercial’s depiction in my head. No CPR, just the AED.

Yeah, I noticed that the third time I watched it. I guess I just expected it to be more noticeable...A noise or something. I haven’t had any experience with AEDs, thankfully.

Thanks for the explanation. I figured it’d be more noticeable if an AED was involved, just noticed at the beginning of the video that his legs move like he was just shocked.

Can someone explain why there was no defibrillator used? That seems like a long time to be doing chest pumps and as I understand it (although my medical knowledge ends with knowing the word defibrillator) an AED is more effective and serves the same purpose? They must have one in the arena, no?

The Ravens had a punt against the Packers yesterday where it looked like they downed it at the zero yard line, but the ref said the gunner who downed it had his foot on the goal line. On replay, it was pretty clear that all of the Ravens players whiffed trying to touch the ball. Wasn’t enough to overturn it

I wanted to see Andy Dick...I think he wins points for honesty maybe?

‘Ended with’? When and why did he decide to give up sex?

So many options, and yet you picked an image from Detroit.

Should’ve stuck to eating.

People keep making this comment. Setting aside the fact that you don’t have to root for anyone, why would one root for Goodell over Jones? I don’t understand it at all.

Poor Russ. Just absolutely shit timing for his last two elections.
