Sorry for your luck, this was fixed with an aftermarket gasket and about $200 for a lifetime fix. Am suburban owner, fixed intake manifold myself in a couple of hours

Diesel suburbans are crap and slow and don’t get fuel efficiency worth the premium, just buy a regular old gas suburban, a 5.7 will do just fine.. A 7.4 would be great if you tow but please understand that no matter if it’s empty or it’s full of six people and their gear and you are towing a camper it’s going to get

I also believe in the validity of this answer. Coal rollin’ in the ‘burbs... is that everyone’s dream or just mine?

I’d second the 3/4 ton burb suggestion, but I’d skip the diesel or the big block and go with the good old fashioned 350 vortec. The big engines aren’t any faster, are less reliable, and more NVH. Unless you plan to tow a lot, the SBC is the top choice.

I to have one of these Suburbans in this Generation, bought it as a hunting/do all rig. 179k on the clock, that was 8 years ago and I have 195k on it now. Barely any miles because it sits... a lot. I use it when I need it, and it ALWAYS RUNS. It sits MONTHS at a time (3-6), charge up the battery do what I need to do,

Haha hearing Pierce say “rig”. Almost pissed myself laughing

I second the suburban. I would stay away from the 8th generations unless you are getting the diesel. My parents had a 8th gen V8 for close to 10 years. Head gasket would start to leak every 2 years or so requiring a hefty repair bill. If you can, find a 9th Gen.

This seems like the most logical answer.

HA! that the best a C/K has ever looking in a movie. I was hoping someone post this.

You find a decent wagon under $40k you let us know. The world is waiting.

Disagree. This car has a point. If you line up several, you can use them for slalom practice.

Pointless or a way to spark up conversations with women 30-40 who remember family matters?

Unique but pointless... made me think of the other chap saying “ambitious, but rubbish”!

I want my tax dollars back from this one.

I call bullshit on this dude. Everyone knows that IF Satan had to drive a car, it’d be a Mustang.

You could easily build a quad or plane with a range of 20km+ for about $400. And btw Dji Phantoms are not very agile/powerful, they’re built for stability and ease of use, not performance.

No worries. And, for the record, I loved my LSJ (the supercharged one). I know that the LNF was/is much better... but that supercharger made better noises.
