Exactly! I think it really does negatively impact trans people as well. My cousin is a trans male, and he explained that he didn’t really want to alter his genitalia or breasts, but it was extremely difficult to be the way he wanted to as a woman, so he chose the label of male, because it was easier.

Why would a child who is actively working to assert their gender identity as male want to join the girl scouts? This is a straw man argument. They likely used the term “gender identity” because that is how transgender people are covered in Federal equal protection laws.
