*A smile spreads slowly across Miyazaki’s face

Always going to take an opportunity jump into a dog pile on how... they really released a halo game with so few maps. And they are so fucking boring too.

New maps come with new seasons, and this season was double length to allow them to “catch up” - the consequences to a probably-too-early release. Presumably going forward it will be new maps every 3 months.

Exactly, you can literally just download a starting save on Nexus that has all the items and millions of runes. Doing this is just being a jerk

I hate this type of farming in any game. Afk while using others is lowest tier trolling. There are far better ways to get runes and still have fun without ruining the game for others.

One Albinauric run nets you more than that, it’s straight up trolling

Can we stop calling this “rune farming”? It’s griefing or trolling.

No, not exactly that. The argument often pushed by crypto bros is that you can move digital assets between games freely. It’s a fanciful scenario where you could theoretically take a sword for example in one MMO and use it in a completely different game. And of course that would never work in the real world.

It isn’t worse, it just has nothing to do with the game being based on NFT/Blockchain or not.

Do you think somebody who spent $100,000 on a car in this game feels like they’ve “retained their value” because they got a generic replacement car in a different game?

Its worse because the dlc cost $100,000 was touted as an investment and doesn’t exist anymore.

Not much of an investment if your return is a random trash car in a game you didn't ask for

Nah it’s cool, some guy in a previous comment section said that if the NFT game goes down you can just take your assets and magic them into the next NFT game somehow.

“Tokens are now practically worthless”

Cue the dumbass cryptbros: yOu JuSt DoN’t UnDeRsTaNd CrYpTo BrO tRuSt Me It’S bEtTeR tHaN rEaL mOnEy!!!! now give me some real money for my fake money!

the devs have already been paid and more than enough of them are contractors. Even if the game sells a billion copies, the workers who made it happen will see not a cent fr0m those profits.

It’s crazy how far this series has come since the first LEGO Star Wars game was released in 2005.

Glitch runs don’t take nearly three hours.

They didn’t alter the game to do this, only exploited something within the game’s code. And the speedrunning community already makes distinctions between runs like this vs. runs that require you to complete certain or full conditions vs. runs that can’t use glitches/exploits, etc.

They fulfilled the necessary requirements to get from the beginning of the game to the end of the game without making any changes to the game’s code.
