And let’s not forget that it covers EVERYONE, which means that the unemployed, the chronically ill, the elderly, and the homeless are all able to receive the same care as the CEO.

Personally, I prefer Beef Barley with my Budweiser.

Net worth = $5 million dollars. It’s been quite a while since I looked at L.A. real estate prices, but we can probably assume that approximately half of her net worth is tied up in her home. Honestly, unless the entire 5 million is going into a well managed trust for her 4 year old, it’s not going to be a ton of money

Never forget that the U.S. healthcare lobbyists have spent millions (possibly billions) of dollars over the course of the past few decades in order to convince Americans that socialized medicine is bad. In my own personal experience in Ontario, Canada, sometimes I haven’t been able to see my own doctor for up to 72

No healthcare system is perfect, but as a diabetic American living in Canada, I can safely assure you that single payer kicks ass. Someone would have to offer me a ridiculous amount of money, along with an incredible benefits package, for me to ever even consider going back to the American healthcare system.

Once he leaves the White House he is going to directly milk all of his remaining loyalists for every penny he can take them for. Rallies? You betcha, but now they’ll be $50 for a General Admission ticket with the opportunity to upscale your purchase ($200 for preferred seating; $500 for a photo with Trump, etc).

Team names should always end in an “s”. A team should always be thought of as a group of individuals working towards one goal, as opposed to a singular monolithic hive-minded “thing”.

Snyder's DC Justice League (don't worry, it will also suck).

I’m not much for sports history, but weren’t they kinda good 2 or 3 (or 4) decades ago? I might be completely wrong, but I can vaguely picture their coach at the time and I kinda think that they had an okay quarterback.

“Toasters of the 70's” will now be the name of someone’s band thanks to you.

I did not know that. I only ever heard the “Jews” version, but I’ll take your word for it that they chanted both.

Hi Esther - Here's a small correction: They weren’t chanting “you will not replace us” in Charlottesville, they were chanting "Jews will not replace us", which is somehow both infinitely worse and much more stupid.

My ex's high school was the Slaters, because there was a lot of slate found in the area (I guess)?

DC/AC

I kinda suspected that it was English, but I also would have thought that about my ex’s dissertation (which I probably didn’t explain properly) if you had told me about it. Hell, yours could’ve been in forensics with all of the photos of corpses.

Thanks for the tip. I'm unfamiliar with Nations Fresh Foods because I'm on the eastern side of Toronto and it doesn't look like they've expanded in this direction yet. I'll definitely check them out whenever I get a chance.

I was on revolving temporary work permits when I decided to sponsor myself to become a permanent resident. I could do this because I was already legally allowed to work in the country. Then my employment went to shit and I still had another 2 years left on my work permit, but I was only allowed to work for the

I’m still having a hard time deciding what subject matter you were pursuing a PhD in. My ex’s dissertation (for psychology) was about the historical representation of women in literature, so yours could have been for.... anything?

Mucho Burrito is pretty good, but Mexican  / southwestern food as a whole is generally lacking in Canada.  Having said that, pretty much every other kind of international cuisine can be found and it's usually pretty good.

It’s great for you that she’s an ex-pat since that means she will had personal experience navigating some of the processes you’ll have to go through. So much of the 2 societies are very similar and so many small, weird things are incredibly different. I’m assuming that you’ve already got a great “North American” cell
