@Raederle: How many times have I heard "God will provide".. Enough for my former evangelical roommate to lock me out once, that's for sure.

@DexterHaven: As far as women's political opinions go (Sarah Palin), I would say that has little to do with the person's gender in the first place. But I agree with you, I don't like the sexualization of political protest either.
@JerseyGrrrl: Are you telling me you'd rather have a larger disposable income and more free time to yourself... instead of participating in the miracle of life? You selfish bitch ;)
@DexterHaven: I mean support it here, on this website. Because I know better than to say anything negative about any woman's choices here.
@J.D.Regent: This is so true - it blows my mind that for such a wealthy nation, our infant mortality is so comparatively high. Not to mention the infertility "epidemic" and the high maternal mortality rate, particularly among African-American women.
And tampons/pads would be subsidized by the government (or at least tax-deductible).
@viklane: I don't like it, either. And I agree with you. But women's feelings about this kind of thing seem inconsistent to me.
@JerseyGrrrl: My mother is convinced that the reason I hate babies and little kids is because once when I was babysitting, this toddler fell of a piano bench and wouldn't stop crying for what felt like an hour (at least). She thinks this traumatized me.
@lizochka: Yeah, but that's still their choice, right? So we think it's sad when women wear bikinis to bring attention(/distract from) their cause - but it's not sad when women choose to be strippers/sex workers/models? All mentioned get half-naked, but I guess the difference is the girls above are trying to earn…
If women are making the choice to wear bikinis to support a cause they believe in, then why do we get all snarky about it?
The spread of STDs is more concerning to me than the increased number of abortions. At least the procedure is legal and available.
Sorry if I'm repeating anything that's been said yet, but here's all I know about IUDs, courtesy of my mom (who has a PhD in Nursing, specializing in Women's Health): The whole deal is that they don't prevent *conception* - they prevent *implantation*. Which is why it gets pro-lifers/evangelicals all up in arms about…
@zu_zu has come to terms with her lack of star: That's what I thought, too. From my own experience, if you're perceived as a threat, then they will not hesitate to admit you to a locked psych ward.
@MilointheMeadow: Ugh, I gotta start reading other people's comments before shooting my mouth off. Sorry about the repetition.
@schweppes: I'm no expert on this, but if a woman is experiencing symptoms of PPD, wouldn't someone close to them notice? Like her husband? I have a hard time when people heap all the blame on women who go through this, when there needs to be at least a little accountability on the other people in their life.
@Zombie Ms. Skittles: Me too.
@letitcrash: Seriously - what a luxurious "problem."
Forget the Gossip Cops - where are the HOT COPS??
This is an easy one for me - I have girl crushes on Jane Goodall, Madeleine Albright, greengrey and SarahMC.
@Gavagirl: I only watched the clips here, but this show just rubs me the wrong way.
