I think Germans have Monday off because of Pentecost (can anyone confirm?) Berlin/Berliners is/are badass AND rent is cheap - who wants to move there with me?

that girl is totally just about to pop that balloon and scare the crap out of the woman in front of her.

Like there's a rape spectrum? Well, it wasn't Outright Rape, but just Date Rape. Which is totally different from Marital Rape. Uh, NO.

@olivia2.0: AAAH! That's exactly what I thought - my buddies and I spent a week with that game, every night, in the dark, until we won.

Related: I heard that the gene for naturally blond hair will no longer be in the human gene pool. Given the wide spectrum of "blonde," maybe it's just that Icelandic platinum color?

Virgin Panda Birth! Jesus is a Panda!!

I read that because the Y chromosome is dwarfed by the X (and thus contains fewer genes), men have less genetic material - which is why male twins are generally more identical than female twins.

@ellaesther: I read somewhere that this response was Nature's way of protecting women from additional damage - not that this makes any more okay.

@Penny: @Penny: My qualm with this "majority rule" thing is that so long as a majority agrees to do something hateful, it becomes law. Like 2/3 of all baby kittens must be destroyed because there are too many damn cats in my neighborhood. I could probably find a majority for that, but that doesn't make it less

Glamour: you are bad for women and you are so BORING. Stop recycling/regurgitating mainstream culture and hire some talented, witty writers (there are so many unemployed smart writers!!)

@LucilleMcGillicuddy: I like the new SJ format, too. Celebrities bore the hell out of me (yes, I know "Celebrities" is part of Jezzie's sub-title).

@MilointheMeadow: I should have also put, "And their obesity rate is much much lower." Durr.

@topsy: Agreed. And, I think high fructose corn syrup is kind of a problem. It's such a cheap sweetener and extraordinarily bad for you. In Scandinavia, at least, I can't find HFCS in anything, and their diet isn't all that different from ours.

That... sounds like me, only ten years ago. Down to the 4 miles a day.

@FashionShowAtLunch: That's what I was thinking - all of this is based on quality of offspring, so what do homosexual couples take from this study? If anything at all.

@MilointheMeadow: Thanks, everyone! I really need to look into this!

OK, I read everything out loud. Not because I can't read to myself but I just enjoy it *so* much more when I do. I've been doing this my whole life, and have yet to find one person who doesn't find it extremely annoying.
