thanks to my weensy little budget, over the past year i've been forced to reassess where my money goes. as a result, i stopped with the skincare products altogether. my skin cleared up and it looks much better. and believe me - i have tried *everything* for my acne since middle school and nothing has worked quite

i've never dyed my hair because of this very theory... and also because if i did it myself, guaranteed i would screw it up. this one goes out to every girl who tells me i'm being "ridiculous" about being afraid of hair dye.

my mom is in her mid-50s and her hair reaches just past her shoulder blades. since her hair is full and straight, i think it looks pretty good on her. and she takes care of it, so why not?

so i'm pretty average - 5'5'' - but i have noticed a marked difference in the way people treat me when i'm wearing a 3-inch heel and when i'm wearing something flat. maybe it's all in my head, but it really does feel like you have to work harder to get taken seriously when you're shorter. then again, my round face

@Ipomoea: quarter Norwegian here - didn't get the height (5'5'') but i did get the feet! i wear a size 9 now, but it's felt a little tight over the past year..

huh. subtle.

ok, i'm only 26, but every guy i've dated has always been younger than me by a few years (there were some older guys - mistakes, all). it was never my intention but that's just how it turned out. my mom calls me a Puma, because i'm too young to be a cougar ;)

i kinda don't like how Rocky adds "i'm a single mom" like it's the reason for winning, and laying it on her daughter too. something about that really bothered me.

seriously, i had no idea how much i check this website until i had a micro-freakout when it wasn't coming up.

my mom was scheduled for a hysterectomy a few weeks after my conception (i hate that i even know when *that* was) due to a really awful case of endometriosis. she was in grad school and not married, but had always wanted kids and saw it as her only chance. and then the guy bailed on her before i was even born and

@Xavoc: and you make it sound so easy to just "move on"....

in my opinion, i think we need more women Everything.

that beauty shrink really is a bitch - i think it was the february issue (?) where this girl seemed confident and seemed to have a really healthy approach to her appearance. and you could tell this "shrink" was struggling to find something negative to say - like, "how dare you feel all right about your face when you

Dear Moe:

then again, women's mags are mostly gigantic catalogs of ads and new products to buy, so kinda the same thing in print. but wow - SATC is crazy shameless about it.

@ForeverBlueGirl: i couldn't have said it better and i relate to your comment so SO strongly.

man, if *Keith Richards* is telling you to get sorted out, then you know it's time to look at your lifestyle. love to Amy though - she needs lots of support to get focused again.

honorary Jezzie?

i think the reason so many women could relate to the show was because each character represented a facet of every woman's psyche in a very concentrated form: Work, Sex, Family (or at least that domestic side that Charlotte brings), Self. when you take that away and just focus on the superficial aspects of the show

@lanouvelleprive: didn't Sarah Silverman do that in one of her episodes, too?
