Yesterday I was playing The Resistance with a group of inexperienced players...

I only played the base game (about 30 times). I heard one of the expansions actually improves the game significantly, but I cannot recall which one. Sorry dude.

What? The wall climbing is pretty good combined with slopes, but I kind of see your point, since a lot of platforming challenge goes out of the box. 

I am not a fan of MMX4+ level design, it is pretty linear (in the sense of, no verticality).
