See, you're clearly the upright & critical person I was thinking of earlier. Thanks for showing up to the play date. But let me clarify:

I'm already work part time in the medical field while attending med school; hence my patient counseling. As a 2 time cancer survivor (leukemia & Wilm's tumor) I know all about compromised immune systems, so I don't need a lecture on that either. If the vast amount of society is vaccinated (and America is) and these

Awe, the great vaccine debate; always a pleasure to encounter these talks. Just to be clear, not all anti-vaccine, or how I term it "informed consent" people are misinformed frauds. I'm a med school student & mother & have made MY well-researched choice to not vaccinate. Period. It's not up for debate & it is not

Last week I had a patient that had a visitor bestowing gifts to her. What gifts you ask? Awe, just a simple speed ball of heroine & cocaine. The visitor left, then tbe chaos ensued. She thought she was dying. I bet she felt that way. I had some blood withdrawn and took it to the lab. She was dirtier than riding

Kanye is quickly replacing Amanda Bynes with his stupid comments. He tries so hard at sounding intelligent but misses the boat every time.

Not all of us! My family has never celebrated turkey day, in fact one year we were invited to a home that did. Well, the food sounded great but my lovely kids taught the other kids about the awful things that happened and presented it in a play. We were never invited back again. Go figure!

While some races are more predispositioned to cancer, most cancers are equal opportunity problems. Yes, a smoker is more likely to get lung cancer (and PE, COPD, heart disease, etc), a person working with harsh chemicals or in a field are just as likely to get it as well. I don't see this a being a race issue. No need

I'm in healthcare so you're preaching to the choir about big pharma. Thankfully, I was raised (and still live) on an almost self-sufficient farm so I nourish myself properly; I do agree that a poor diet fueled by poorly grown chemically laden foods help create an environment of not being well in a body that is already

It's not hate, it's a right of passage just as residency is. Long (long!) hours & low pay to make your mark. Remember that if you don't have a struggle you'll never remember the fight.

You know what disturbs and offends me? Cancer, not a woman's body that is battling it. Suck it up Times readers, no one cares if the slip of an areola or the incision from a lumpectomy makes you quiver. These brave women have a bigger battle to deal with.

Rookies are great! You're still wet behind the ears & see everything with fresh eyes. Hope there aren't too many (shouldn't be any) crashes from drinking festivities.

Nope. Don't have a television.

No one should ever be alone at the hospital, no matter the day. I do my best to make a connection with people (sometimes it's hard) & have them share things with me. It's amazing what a listening ear can provide. I was taught by my professor (old-school & wise), that even though I may have seen something a dozen

I don't mind working holidays. Of course I'm rewarded financially for taking those times no one wants, so don't think I'm that generous. ;-) I gladly trade with those that have family coming in because I'm lucky enough to live near mine & don't need a specific day on a calendar to remind me to enjoy them.

No doubt. Any business that has non-essential employees work are assholes; and the people that support them are as well.

I'll be on-call at the hospital. Sick people don't take days off.

Americans are over-weight, it's not a secret & problematic. However, many are also having emotional stress that leads them to this binging & are in need of support & better mental healthcare; it seems we need to pick our battles & offering mental support would be far better than just blaming poor food choices.

Is that a challenge? I'm afraid she may be up for it.

What career?
