Big surprise that people didn’t want to participate in a series that argues for the innocence of someone who fucking raped and murdered their friend/family member. I try to give the people behind this series the benefit of the doubt but they’re so fucking callous and arrogant

Bizarre to cast KJ Apa in a role that specifically centers around being white when he isn’t. It feels like his team are determined to whitewash him as thoroughly as possible, makes me sad. Hopefully this is kind of paying his dues and he’ll be able to play roles closer to his own experience later in life, or at least

I actually really liked What Happens in Vegas! It’s goofy, but I think it really owns its tone and I liked everyone in it even as they tortured each other (rare for me with romantic comedies). The only serious misstep it makes is when Kutcher’s character briefly tries to falsely accuse Diaz of assault. In general

We already had Veronica Mars and that’s coming back, we’re good thanks

I mean, she looks nothing like that anymore anyway

Both those sex scenes would have been infinitely more interesting if the sex didn’t actually happen. If they made a mature, self aware choice like the grown men they’re supposed to be.

Vik seems so bitter and angry toward Helen this season, to an extent that just doesn’t feel justified to me. I get that he’s ill and feeling like shit changes your demeanor, but I think Helen is trying harder than ever and I don’t know what he expects of her at this point

This probably counts as spoilers so skip this comment if you haven’t read the book!

I didn’t see Amma, but “Ann” was there at the bottom of the hate list :(

The scars are very well done. That was one thing I’d worried about in translation, but they pulled it off perfectly.

I don’t know about that. People could certainly misconstrue it that way and that’s a concern in itself. But to me they’re showing how ridiculous it is that she has to resort to something like that when she’s already a wife, step parent and worker. That line about ICE not bothering to check seemed more like an

At least it’s what someone with a drinking problem would actually be drinking. I’ve never been more annoyed than reading The Girl on the Train where she’s blacking out on a bottle of wine or a 4 pack of gin and tonics every night

The fucked up 3-way buddycop situation going on in those flashforwards is so ridiculous. I love it.

Mark Hamill felt humiliated doing even the stunts he had in TLJ. I don’t think having him hold his own in a physical fight against Adam Driver and a bunch of knights was a realistic option

It works better if you look at him as Eden’s male equivalent - thoroughly brainwashed into thinking he should be this dominant, controlling force and treat women as lesser than. But like her he’s ultimately unable to fulfill that role because, you know, love exists, and it jars so harshly with the world they’ve

Except less creepy? I almost didn’t recognize him

Oh, Eden...

I wish they’d stop fighting and cursing at each other in front of their kid, makes me so uncomfortable. I also really don’t know who Cole thinks he’s helping by keeping Luisa dependent on him while keeping her at arms length. He’s a grown man and it’s time for him to stop waiting around for the women in his life to

Honestly, at that point in the episode I had completely forgotten about the Lobster Roll meeting, so I can buy Alison genuinely forgetting about it too. She’s rotten plenty of the time but I forgive this one
