I was tempted by a Pheaton when they hit about £6k for a half decent car until I discovered the only way to get parts is to but another one and any accident will write off the car.

I saw one of these in the street yesterday and I was amazed how good it looks in the metal. It’s a shame it probably won’t sell well here as its cheaper to lease a BMW or Merc
I’m pretty sure this schizophrenic platform is what finally killed Opel/Vauxhall for GM. They designed the platform from the start to support a crossover, an MPV, a convertible and a family hatch. All this meant the Astra was heavy and over engineered but it was also somehow sold cheap. I had one for a year and it was…
Neutral. It should mean less low speed bumps that should reduce car insurance costs.
Making tests harder is my government's go to on this and it doesn't really work because the people currently causing a problem don't have to take this harder test.
I don’t know how the New York subway is run but I’d bet that if they did get a 200 million dollar increase in fares almost all of it would be paid out as bonuses or dividends or in some other way be removed from the subway.
I’m not defending these people but for all you know those well dressed working age people might be well dressed because their work demands it and may actually not earn enough to really be able to afford those clothes.
Why did they base it on a sedan instead of the touring? Why have back doors when there are no seats? Why use the rear bench as a front seat? Nothing about this makes sense.
Are they counting hybrids and EVs as separate models? That triples the number of categories. China has a huge rich poor divide so there is also a market for a cheap brand and a luxury brand so now we arguably have 6 times as many categories. Maybe GM needs more new cars.
I totally agree with you that mini vans don't have to be meh. I grew up in the 90s with lots of siblings and some mini vans were the stuff of dreams. When you have to ride in an escort or samara with 5 other people on a regular basis the thought of a Plymouth voyager was like a Rolls Royce. I even had a 1:24 scale…
Tim Westwood is the son of a bishop who thinks he's a Gangsta from Compton. There are many pictures of him online loading his shopping into giant American trucks.
I really don't think the main buyers of New BMWs care about rwd or even handling. There are loads of 2 series Tourers (fwd mini van) driving around my town.
Does the US not have a database of who owns each car? All the recalls I've seen in the UK (mostly from my dad's Peugeots and Citroens) they contact owners directly.
At Ferrari the f1 drivers are the only employees allowed to buy any Ferraris from the factory.
A base polo in the UK is about £13,500 which is roughly $17,500 us but that includes tax.
I think Tesla may have missed the boat on the entry level 3 (which I think works in their favour) because so many credible electric cars are coming to market.
I don't understand why Merc would farm out an electric sprinter to tesla. I think it's more likely they'd do it in house.
I love 90s BTCC. I want to get a group of people together with an example of each car (in road going repmobile spec) started up like the racing cars then do a rally. That is my lottery win dream.
You might not be planning to get out of the car but what happens if you breakdown, trapped by weather or have an accident? For this reason you should never go anywhere in the car without clothes you could stand around for a few hours or walk home in.
I’m not looking it up but I seem to recall the bus was used as a school bus in Scotland until the late 80s
