I think Ceed is a pretty good name because it is easy to read but also unique (and I’m pretty sure the expansion is a backronym). I even like the pun name for the Pro Ceed but never really cared for the added punctuation.

I’m so glad all the Cavaliers have disappeared because I want one so bad right now to make it look like a touring car. Ideally with a Saab turbo engine swap.

Dibs on the cavalier

In some ways the massive deformation from smallish accidents is a good thing besides just the crash safety. If you have a newish car with the repair logged on its history it’s worth less when you sell it and for a common car much harder to sell. On top of that they might bodge the repair or miss something.

TBF removing stickers can often make it look worse than leaving them

I so want Lotus to do well but we’ve heard this all before. We all remember 2010 when they brought 5 all new cars to Paris.

Still quicker door to door than flying

These things followed French rules which made them way better. Assigned seats only.

These trains were amazing and so much better than flying. I lived in a town with a station and seeing these trains now really brings back memories of my high school years.

The Polish built Fiat I owned seemed to be far better built than the Slovakian Up I had for a week.

Don’t believe the hype.

I’ve not driven the GTi version but I had to drive an Up for a few days and I really couldn’t recommend it. The previous generations of Fiat Panda and Toyota Aygo were far better city cars. I honestly think most of the praise for the car is badge snobbery.

My dad borrowed one for a weekend. Opening all the windows on it was amazing

But remember the guy in a rented Honda is likely to care less about hurting his car and after 45 years who can say how many horses the z28 has especially if the owner isn’t all that mechanical.

It’s just a thought but could it be people who really liked the restomod idea 20 to 15 years ago are starting to come into money and never really wanted a pristine numbers car? If I’m right and you’re right about prices then the survivor cars are gonna see another wave of restomodding.

I’d be surprised if they brought over the Astra GTC as its been around a long time and I don’t think its still in production.

Neutral. I think they will just betting fancy crossovers as that’s what America buys. That said the latest 3008, 5008 and DS7 are good looking crossovers. It will be a shame though as in the last few years Peugeot and Citreon have really got their mojo back with more traditional cars.

Peugeot said at the time it was deliberately left untreated for reasons related to environmental friendliness or something. All the car materials were meant to be as close to there natural state as they could.

60hp is normal for a 90s na diesel engine of that size. It would be more than enough for motorway driving it would just take a long time to get up to speed. It would still be quicker than a lorry.
