Totally with you though my dad had an XJ6 that had a cassette deck with skip buttons.

I love 90s BTCC. I’m always saying someone should set up a banger rally using the normal versions of the cars.
I had a quick look online and on the current system the 2000 insight is insurance group 23 out of 50 whereas the new 09 panda I bought instead is group 4. All in the more versatile panda was cheaper per month all up than just the insurance on the Honda.
Insurance is just crazy. I think it was either it being relatively rare or the hybrid thing but I don’t really know.
I’ve always had a soft spot for these and considered buying one in 2009 but they were about £4000 for an early car (post 01 cars didn’t have to pay road tax in UK) and insurance was insane (I think it was about £4000 again for a years insurance when a normal car was about £800).
I really miss this styling feature.
Is like to see more variety in the types of tracks so it would be difficult to build a car that was best at all of them.
Do you think they got the idea from the Renault Twizy? This one is a bit faster and is claiming a slightly longer range but the Renault seems cheaper £6500 Which is about $9000 at the moment.
Shame the new engine is covered in plastic
I agree with you to a point. I think the problem though is when it’s bought by speculators who have it covered up and locked away just to make money. I think worse at the lower end where speculators push enthusiast cars way out of reach of enthusiast like the muscle car thing did.
I think it’s for Kurz meaning short
To them the equator is a concentric circle to the north pole so only flying across the South pole would be an issue.
Surely you missed two 80s car classic mods. Dimma body kit and BBS Turbo fan wheels?
Coming from a country with lots of roundabouts I’m the complete opposite. Traffic lights are completely unambiguous and in theory remove all judgement whereas a roundabout is all judgement. The problem there is a lot of drivers have poor judgement so either cause accidents or delays (waiting for a bigger gap than will…
Fix it up on the cheap and drive the hell out of it. Get a fibreglass flip front end for it and maybe a roll hoop.
I worked for a guy who had a company car but paid for his own fuel (He got a flat cash allowance for it I think). For a while he had a focus ST and did a lot of miles. The VW garage across from the store had a deal on the then new VW Fox and he worked out that if you ignore the upfront charge he could lease a Fox and…
Neutral. Is it an economy of scale thing? In Europe almost every crossover and suv until diesel gate was diesel and for the C segment upwards diesel is still a big player for this kind of car.
To me Mega seems less than ultra and hypersoft sounds like it should be a company but one people know the name but have no idea what they do.
5th gear. Manufacturers can’t win on this as people complain either way. People complain if anything is different but they also moan (and especially in the press and in comments) if it’s too much the same. No matter how many buttons you got people will say it’s too many and not enough. Side note I wish more automatic…
I think that might be part of the plan. Making the life span of the average car shorter means people will buy more new cars.
