I think you may have just triggered something to be tagged as a potential customer, because I didn’t see that many ads until I clicked on a used on posted on fb marketplace. and yeah, I’d be buying it used
yeah I could make one myself, but I figure the plastic and high load bearing capacity of the decked system would last a lot longer and keep everything more secure than a homemade system.
so does anyone here have experience with Decked brand truck slides and have opinions to share? Tired of my gear sliding around the bed
That’s quite an accusation with zero supporting arguments? wtf?
Hard for me to imagine. I make more than that and can’t imagine $300+ a month to cross a bridge, but then again I live 10 minutes from work, and my rent is 1/4 of these guys’ annual bridge troll budget
hah fair point. I just can’t imagine daily paying a $14 toll and not thinking twice about it.
“My cousin wanted a good price and she didn’t want to finance for more than 60 months. MSRP was just over $33,000.”
“One estimate has it at $12 to $14 per car, which is more or less what it costs to enter New York City via the Hudson River crossings, an amount which no one ever questions or thinks twice about.”
Jason, as resident tail lamp expert - can we get an update on your orange oil countermeasure? Or get an industry expert to weigh in on their recommended tail light restoration methods?
If I made millions hosting a car show, you can bet your ass I’d be spending the money doing fun shit like running a farm I can afford to lose, running a restoration show I can afford to cancel, or running a pub and distillery that I can afford to have fail. That’s old rich guy hobby business for sure
I try not to yuck another person’s yum, but a person removing all but vodka is just egregious
I’m confused why you think this costs any additional money for GM to produce. On a different note, why do you have to “pay” for cars that have speed limiters? Why do you have to pay for TPMS when you can just check the tires yourself before driving? Why do you have to pay for all those fancy safety and warning…
not everyone had your parents growing up - your story illustrates that the practice of belting is heavily dependent on your upbringing. brand-wide interlocks attempt to answer those discrepancies in how people are raised.
some people are just raised differently and seatbelt wearing was never normalized. It’s not a good excuse, but I’ve met people who never got the ‘put on seatbelt when you sit down’ mental habit and it’s from how they were raised. interlocks are a good consistent way to normalize belting
“The other reason I won’t be getting it is because at some point you reach a certain age and you don’t require anything more than a clean, well-made vodka.”
Idk about “most,” but I know those can be adjusted on expensive sets. Most just let you adjust preload. But what exactly is the adjustment for “stiction?”
how do you adjust static friction in a shock?
good point on nicer speakers probably being good. though I’d be tempted to install an amp, and then there’s tons of ways to mess that up and make things worse. once someone installs an amp and new speakers, they’re tempted to add a sub, and then things are really worse.
all mods make something worse. even adding aftermarket heated seats adds non-oem wiring. I want to swap out my F150's shocks for aftermarket, but that will make something worse - either laden handling or unladen handling will suffer. but refusing to mod a vehicle just because it has compromises feels decidedly…
