The other reason I won’t be getting it is because at some point you reach a certain age and you don’t require anything more than a clean, well-made vodka.”

what do you mean “most” forms of stainless steel? “Most” of the 300 series (304, 316, etc.) has carbon in it, and I thought most stainless steels were 304 or 316.

Idk about “most,” but I know those can be adjusted on expensive sets. Most just let you adjust preload. But what exactly is the adjustment for “stiction?”

how do you adjust static friction in a shock?

good point on nicer speakers probably being good. though I’d be tempted to install an amp, and then there’s tons of ways to mess that up and make things worse. once someone installs an amp and new speakers, they’re tempted to add a sub, and then things are really worse.

all mods make something worse. even adding aftermarket heated seats adds non-oem wiring. I want to swap out my F150's shocks for aftermarket, but that will make something worse - either laden handling or unladen handling will suffer. but refusing to mod a vehicle just because it has compromises feels decidedly

I think most automatic car wash brush arms just have the limit switches with a light beam - they wouldn’t stop until those sensors hit the trunk lid and I guess they were oriented just right to miss the slim profile of the trunk?

you’re essentially riding a kilo-bike.”

that’s a long article with no advice beyond: take it to a dog behaviorist

at least he’s not taking his (probably) unvaccinated kids to disneyland during a pandemic?

glad he’s gone I guess, but is a Fit owner really throwing shade about “taste” at a guy for owning a gto?

Route 1 disappears south of where I was meaning

Uh I was talking Del Norte area 101, not Monterey Bay

Follow-up question: what’s the optimal road trip drive time schedule? 8 hours a day? 12? 14 is max for working, and that sounds awful no matter what I’m driving

Except for the fact that 101 will unexpectedly be closed due to eroding cliffs and there aren’t always bypasses. But if you’re willing to wait a day somewhere, doesn’t sound bad

hmm pretty limited service on some of these, but imma try them next time I book. thanks

uh so which airlines aren’t so awful to fly?

I was on a flight from Arcata to Phoenix on Saturday that was delayed (due to a maintenance thing that was evidently a really quick fix, but we waited hours for a maintenance tech to finally get to us) for so long that the gate manager started bringing out attendants to do training on the plane while we waited. I

I mean, sort of? I’ve jumped a leaf before

Is it criterion because it’s one specification, or one criterion per foot making it criteria?
