a very good point

ALL plastic clips are suspect, regardless of location, after 8 years. Interior clips, electrical connector clips, clips that hold wiring harnesses in place, clips holding plastic trunk panels - all of them. They’re there for fast production, they’re one-time use.

I, too, have dropped my standards for good-looking dashboards.

Man, I rail against this “threaded fasteners=bad” mentality. The plastic clip that doesn’t snap after 8 years of driving is rare in my experience. “People aren’t going to service this” feels like a very, very OEM perspective. Totally believe his reasoning on not liking threaded fasteners, but they sure feel worth it

Clearly, this feller skimped and didn’t use his goin-ta-town vise grips

well this was a sad attempt

the body and the engine block are aluminum, and under the hood is miles of plastic. There’s very few places to put the magnetic tray under my ford’s hood compared to my old gmc. the only benefit with magnets (for me) is just that small iron and carbon steel parts can be dropped in there and they’ll stay put. the

the grippy and floppiness is pretty great for absorbing incidental bumps compared to having the tools sit on something rigid and smooth, but it’s not going to do as well as magnets, I would think. I haven’t inadvertently dumped anything out of these, but I don’t use them daily or anything

yes, in the same way that a filing cabinet could be a tool box.

shouldn’t scratches be pretty easy to repair? at any rate, hardness directly affects glass’ ability to prevent scratches

look, ya gotta grease the right wheels...

facts. but also, they’re probably hoping to see the smoke blow north and become wisconsin’s problem

these are pretty pricy for what they are, so I used the excuse of buying a set for my brother’s bday, and keeping the bogo little set for myself. It’s really nice to be able to drop stuff in there and not fight a magnet to get small sockets back. I don’t have the bigger set that they advertise can be folded to carry

as someone who suffers the same neurosis, control-left click may save you some time, depending on whether your keyboard is conveniently close when you browse.

alternatively, it’s nice to see a large company avoid micromanaging something that they don’t need to.

which is amazing, because where I work, everyone in the entire company who is on a plant or fabrication area has to wear a bump cap style hard hat. I mean, I’m glad because at many facilities stuff drips, falls, and there are low pipes to bump into, but it makes a person feel naked when walking into a facility

People on the left tend to act like because his solutions were shit, the problem must not exist.”

I mean, there’s a frightening chance he’s going to run again in 2024 or that one of his spawn will try to run in the future. Accusing people of “not letting go” can easily be trying to dissuade people from “remembering and reminding people of history.”

One - I love the shit out of this content.

Picturing anyone using any one of these questions to strike up a conversation is hilarious
