How is 216F anywhere close to overheating? GM trucks’ manuals state that running at 210F is normal, and running up to 230 during high load is normal. Overheating is at 250F for any length of time. I’ve only had overheating problems on my truck when towing over kentucky and tennessee hills, and it just meant driving 55

this is the worst take I’ve ever heard, and I still click on Shilling’s articles

He’s not living alone, he’s with his wife. Also, 24/7 caretaking is expensive as shit. A lot of people believe that if you remove a person with dementia from their home, you’re going to disorient them and remove a source of solace, and it can feel kind of cruel. For those reasons, this couple lives alone. It does,

oh god the random tissues everywhere. I haaaated having to clean out old purses so they could be put away flat. yucgghhkkk, used tissues squirreled away.

To be clear, the cabs and beds are very swiss cheesed most of the time, because illinois, but I’ve got my eye on this niiiice k20 that supposedly runs when parked

My grandmother was diabetic and had dementia. Hiding things was paramount, and I was never sure which were kept more secure: the keys or the random candies.

Each person with dementia is different. They all have daily paths and patterns that they go down, and the caretaker has to pick the best approach to handle it - the lesser evil. It sounds like the person in the story has a common path of ‘hey, I want to go for a drive’ and that the caretakers have had a difficult,

It’s not practical on the new laptop-sized screen vehicles, like the new Ram’s 12" screen. On Tundras, it’s still applicable. The best way I’ve found is to check Crutchfield. It could be that they’re aren’t good options yet for the new Ram, but we’ll see. Often, you have to wait for someone to make and sell an

I mean, I want to get rid of mine because I don’t trust the transmission to last very long, even though it was rebuilt 2 years ago. It hasn’t been the most reliable truck and I don’t have the driveway space for another vehicle

yeah was she being sarcastic? the only dependable part of a dodge truck there ever was was a cummins engine, and most dodges are carrying either a 3.6 pentastar or a 5.7 hemi anymore

When it comes to small conveniences like heated seats, remote start, and android auto/carplay, you’re better off buying a lower trim for a deal then spending, what, $50 for heated seats, $250 for remote start, and like $300-500 to add your own double-din with android auto and carplay. Those shouldn’t be deal breakers,

me upon reading this headline:

Idk, where I live, old toys are going for cheap right now. Like 80's trucks that are just a frame, engine, manual trans and a bit of a cab are going for $500, when they’d usually be a $1500 project. If I weren’t needing to drive through snow this winter and had a >msrp tacoma in the drive, I’d sell it and buy that

Ooh that’s a tough one to get behind. It feels like all 3 big truck makers want to pretend that they’re the standard truck for hard work and industry, like job sites are all Ram or all F-series, or all GM... “but, is such a thing possible? ...yes.”

Okay to be very clear, airbags do not exclude you from heavy loads, nor do they provide the same function as shock absorbers.

Load height has grown about 5". On a ‘98 2wd long bed, the load floor height was 29". On a ‘19 double cab, it’s 34.8" (I can’t find load floor height on a 2wd long bed for current model year). Note that ‘98 2wd long bed cargo cap was 55.6ft3, while a ‘20 2wd long bed is 89.1ft3. The payload has gone up by about 400

Ooh, nice. Now I know what I’m going to be reading and looking at during my morning meetings, +1

Not ladders, just a step-up. I have an ‘04 at stock ride height, and I’m young but still have trouble stepping into the bed depending on what pair of jeans I’m wearing. A tailgate with a step would be a freaking joy. If you want to be able to reach the middle of your truck bed while standing next to it, then you need

3 posts? that’s some weaksauce. get some glam shots up

Yeah it’s weird that they still use “professional grade” on GMC advertising, instead of something more honest to describe the denali-fied GMC’s. Though, the base Sierras are still very spartan
