I mean, I want to get rid of mine because I don’t trust the transmission to last very long, even though it was rebuilt 2 years ago. It hasn’t been the most reliable truck and I don’t have the driveway space for another vehicle

yeah was she being sarcastic? the only dependable part of a dodge truck there ever was was a cummins engine, and most dodges are carrying either a 3.6 pentastar or a 5.7 hemi anymore

When it comes to small conveniences like heated seats, remote start, and android auto/carplay, you’re better off buying a lower trim for a deal then spending, what, $50 for heated seats, $250 for remote start, and like $300-500 to add your own double-din with android auto and carplay. Those shouldn’t be deal breakers,

me upon reading this headline:

Idk, where I live, old toys are going for cheap right now. Like 80's trucks that are just a frame, engine, manual trans and a bit of a cab are going for $500, when they’d usually be a $1500 project. If I weren’t needing to drive through snow this winter and had a >msrp tacoma in the drive, I’d sell it and buy that

Ooh that’s a tough one to get behind. It feels like all 3 big truck makers want to pretend that they’re the standard truck for hard work and industry, like job sites are all Ram or all F-series, or all GM... “but, is such a thing possible? ...yes.”

Okay to be very clear, airbags do not exclude you from heavy loads, nor do they provide the same function as shock absorbers.

Load height has grown about 5". On a ‘98 2wd long bed, the load floor height was 29". On a ‘19 double cab, it’s 34.8" (I can’t find load floor height on a 2wd long bed for current model year). Note that ‘98 2wd long bed cargo cap was 55.6ft3, while a ‘20 2wd long bed is 89.1ft3. The payload has gone up by about 400

Ooh, nice. Now I know what I’m going to be reading and looking at during my morning meetings, +1

Not ladders, just a step-up. I have an ‘04 at stock ride height, and I’m young but still have trouble stepping into the bed depending on what pair of jeans I’m wearing. A tailgate with a step would be a freaking joy. If you want to be able to reach the middle of your truck bed while standing next to it, then you need

3 posts? that’s some weaksauce. get some glam shots up

Yeah it’s weird that they still use “professional grade” on GMC advertising, instead of something more honest to describe the denali-fied GMC’s. Though, the base Sierras are still very spartan

The GMC multipro isn’t available on the base trims; no one is forcing you to pay for this tailgate. If you’re this annoyed by features, then you weren’t going to buy a higher trim anyway.

Soo what you’re saying is that you’re whining that full-size trucks, not the category you’re even interested in, is getting a fancier tailgate, while also whining about the lack of a ute. Just wait for Ford’s new courier or buy used.

I mean, I could’ve used it a lot this year. A 6.5' bed is a great size except most of the lumber I buy is 8', and leaving things diagonal really cuts down on what else can go in the bed. I imagine that everyone with a crew cab and 5.5' bed really wishes they could lay lumber down flat while still having other supplies

I mean, isn’t the point that GMC buyers can feel better than chevy drivers bc they have the more upscale version than the rest of the proles, while chevy drivers can feel better than gmc buyers bc they didn’t throw away money on a fancy truck but instead got an ‘honest’ (TM) truck for real workin... and GM gets to

I, for one, don’t like to complain when auto manufacturers make vehicles more functional (better suspension distance and load capacity) while still trying to keep the vehicles accessible for those who may not have the full mobility of a young person. For those who want a very accessible truck with reduced capability,

Or add a tailgate at the back of the cab, avalanche style. That’d make it easier to want to buy a crewcab shortbed, as extended cabs become harder to find.

This doesn’t seem like a very fair or accurate comment, given the whole DIY, self-sufficient lesbian segment

That would be awesome, but I feel like they’d have to steal from the Tremor if they do that - isn’t that what’s making it an F250-sized raptor?
