I assume she got scratched by one of the falling rocks. Whether or not the critter can actually infect her that way and not by doing the scratching itself, is another question entirely.

I could tell it was in her hair but that’s about it. I dug the idea of her escaping that way, though, so I just ran with it.

The visual effects they use for peering into the past scenes are tripping me out; I read a book ages ago with a similar technology and this is very much how I pictured it.

Roger is a rough character. The actor is so likable that I forget Roger is a massive dickweed until he opens his mouth and reminds me. I didn’t get this far in the books so I have no idea if it’s a problem that’s translating directly from the source.

That’s my mom’s issue with the Whisperers dating back to the comics. If the hides they make the masks from are tanned but not covered in guts, then they don’t smell dead so the smell camo won’t work. I can push the I believe button and fanwank it but I don’t blame anyone who can’t.

Huh.  I think is the best episode yet.  I’m intrigued by how disparate the opinions on this one have been.

Your comments about solving the puzzles has me wondering if anyone is watching this show with that as their main intent.  If so, I pity them; they are missing the point entirely.

I really wish they’d gone with the asking Jo but she says no thing.  Once upon a time, Izzy and ALex were my favorite couple on the show but there’s too much baggage there for last night to have sat right.  But your idea?  That would have worked so well.

I loved the first episode, warts and all.  It gave me that same epic connection feeling I got from Sense8. 

But how is their commenting system?  Because hot damn I still hate Kinja so hard. I used to loathe Disqus until I saw this monstrosity.

This feels a little like saying water is wet.  I mean it’s a show built on toxicity.

Your “should have” is where I thought it was heading in the long run.  I don’t hate what we got but I think the payoff could have been more profound.

I’m with you but I’m not a comic. I have a few friends who are so maybe that affected my take? I don’t disagree with the reviewer that the episode dragged a bit but I found the overall story to be quite disturbing.
