THe 3/4 profile view...I thought the same. Jawline looked the same and I’ve been wondering if they’ll find yet another weird (but cool) way to bring him back somehow.

A friend of mine has been bugging me to watch Survivor since it premiered; there’s something about it she thinks would amuse me. So I’m trying to read some recaps to figure out wtf the deal is with this show and...it makes no sense from the outside looking in over here. But I guess since a new season premiered I’ll…
I thought the opening line of the about people being dead from being crushed by stuff was a mention of George from that show and was disappointed it wasn’t mentioned in the article.
If anything it suddenly put the band ON the radar of high schoolers who didn’t give a shit about the new music coming out that wasn’t conventional pop at the time. I quite literally saw people who were talking shit about Nirvana and Pearl Jam and Soundgarden (and all things “alternative” the week before suddenly…
I graduated high school in 94. Growing up in that era never made a good argument for how a particular story would benefit from being set in that particular era. And it’s weird because it feels like there should be some stuff to mine there (stuff that I would honestly expect to remind me a bit of coming of age stuff…
SATC was a terrible show about terrible people that was lauded for being feminist while containing tropes that were sexist AF even by the standards of the era in which it was created. So I’m on Catrall’s side purely on the basis of “does not want a third movie made” to begin with.
She left to create a new universe for herself last season. The wiki says it was in “The Good, The Bad, and The Crispy”. I’m not good with episode names but I do remember it was near the end of last season.
I didn’t realize until this very episode that it was Tom Welling playing Pearce and seriously only because of reading this review and trying to figure out why you were all winky about the Kryptonite line. Not only does he look wildly different than back in his Smallville days but he’s actually a capable actor. I gave…
If she weren’t such an awful person, I’d have loved the drama of her getting back in a second time.
I actually rewatched the entire judging sequence just to watch Tom’s face every time Claudette spoke. It was amazing; I highly recommend it.
I was thinking about those last two doors, too. I also figured one would be her sister but it didn’t occur to me the other would be the other main characters. Good call.
It was super cheese but I miss her existence in the world so much that I didn’t mind one bit, kind of how I didn’t mind the awful CG of her in Rogue One in light of her death. If she’d been alive still at the time of the film’s release, I have no doubt she’d be roasting that cheese right along with the rest of us.
It’s the only film in the prequel trilogy that’s got much in the way of redeeming qualities. 2 was boring at best (though I totally agree with the article’s take on Amidala in that flick) and 3 was an insult to my intelligence on every possible level. Phantom Menace was pretty cool, though.
Ironic screen name is ironic.
I remember not getting far into it before decided it wasn’t my cuppa. I’m a bit of a completionist so it’s a rare thing for me to bail on a series that way. Apparently a third book came out a couple of years ago and two more are planned (one being a prequel).
They’re about a decade apart in age so it’s pretty easy to tell them apart, even if you think they’re cut from a similar mold.
I still have my copy of this somewhere and like others here, I don’t recall much about the book at all so perhaps I’ll try to reread it. I do remember that when Ripper Street first came out, it made me think of this book a lot with what we think of as standard forensics being presented as cutting edge to the point of…
So how many men were imprisoned on Rozz when it landed by that blue star do you think? Because they’re all dead and that’s a weird thing that I think Supergirl would feel guilty about if she hadn’t had so much else going on in this episode.
4 Non Blondes. Drifting. That song haunts me.
Honestly that’s what I do. The buffering was intolerable. So they have my money but I don’t watch through their service at all. It’s hot garbage.
