It is certainly jarring in the case of Jonah and makes it all the more frustrating that they’re borrowing so many plot points from real life Trump politics. I don’t get why every show has to deep dive into this. I agree with the author that Jonah’s brand of terrible does better when it isn’t a complete Trump analog.

There is very little chatter about Tyrion has literally screwed up everything this season. Every single tactical decision he’s made has been a loss, and due to his apparent stupidity there is a zombie dragon and Cersei has a potential upper hand. Really feels like a terrible character assassination.
