Korea adopted Starcraft in the 90's like nobody else to the point where it’s a joke if Korea every held the Olympics they’d enter Starcraft as a prespecitve sport. They have the more established scene. When people from the West were making fun of pro-gamers for being basement-dwellers, the South Koreans were treating the same people as celebrities with TV shows featuring them.
