I can't really relate. If I try to "drive my car" I will "spend the night in jail."

@ItsMeMasih: You're saying GM builds cars in the US and sells them in China? You're also saying that it's GM proper and not a joint venture? (hint: everything in china is a"joint venture")
@SkaHimself: Because I had to work second shift at $9 an hour for one of their suppliers to put myself through college and I still don't make 100K a year.
@C4R4V4Nz_4_LIFE: Or any half ton pickup ever made.
@dal20402: If cars were hand made and there was a guy on the line hand scraping bearings, then yes, I'd believe your "craftsman" fantasy. You might even convince me that the plant maintenance guys are heroic craftsmen who can weld gum wrappers together or hold superhuman tolerances on worn out lathes but there are…
Bailing out shit products we can't even export isn't going to close any trade deficits.
@dal20402: You sound just like George Soros.
@ranwhenparked: You can't be "serious business" if the sleeves aren't rolled up too.
That heavy, obsolete, full frame cars were "safer" because "they just don't make them like they used to."
I'm the evil automotive Genie, I make wishes come true but then screw you in the end.
@FodderTheSane: The only vehicle that comes close to your "50%" fantasy is the Wrangler but I can only speak from my experience buying (then four years later spending months trying to sell) a new American car and comparing it to my fiancee's and friend's flawless VW and BMW experiences.
@smackela: Sorry bro, I don't grope moustache dudes.... I only feel up imminent threats to national security.
@RB26Skyline- big bore envy: Did the UK even have metal boats at the beginning of WWII?
How come when I grope a stewardess looking for explosives I'M AN ASSHOLE, but when the mall cops do it, they're patriots?
@Admiral_Awesome: This is the finest use of the "got real" meme ever...
@walkerman5000: Exemption whiners tears taste like candy to the judge-gods.
@Rä¢inG73 - ain't nuthin' but a G73 thang: Heart click.... because there's something poetic about someone arguing with a wall... especially an institutional one like the "anti-stock car" bias around here.
Without discerning home market customers to cater to with the platform, prepare for beige.
@bacon117: Even in "no salt" states, they're usually sandblasted by cinders and cycle between above and below freezing all fall and spring. Still that's just my personal philosophy, I still need someone to buy my used cars in a snow/salt state so I definitely shouldn't discourage the practice now that I think about it.
