But you peeked
But you peeked
Hillary was flawed? Understatement of the fucking century.
I remember the days when ESPN came on the air. Good times. Didn’t have to sit through an entire general news program to get your sports fix. Only what you wanted, nothing you didn’t. They talked about the game and game strategy and showed the highlights.
Such fucking drama everywhere. Like there’s not a hundred other channels and a million fucking cesspool websites to get your hot political takes? Just because people don’t want it on ESPN it’s old whites? Fuck you. This young, brown, intersex, poor biqueer, curious, brony just wants sports. Is it okay now? Moron
Bullshit. I’m on that mother duckers heels to keep him moving. And I wear too much aftershave and cologne and baby powder. I’m making my way through
This article cracks me up. ESPN is a sports network. Why on Earth would any reasonable professional there (Jimmy, head of programming, segment producer, ad salesperson, etc.) want to push any issue that has a most likely outcome - or even a real possibility -of reducing viewers based on a non-sports issue? Sports…
I mimed, “I have to shit,” and she mimed back, “use the bad bathroom.”
Gizmodo family comments want progressive politics. That is their target market and the audience that brings the $$ in. Conservatives generally won’t get out of the greys. ESPN isn’t really doing anything different. They just have a different target audience.
This headline is a fucking Abortion. Don’t quote people on things they did not say. Have some integrity.
Schilling gets fired for political views leaning right........99 others keep their jobs for leaning left.......yes espn is certainty just a branch of infowars at this point.
If something is worth doing its worth doing the right. ESPN is really really bad with handling political and societal so I would rather them ditch the topic then having attempt the semi coherent discourse they’ve peddled in the past.
I totally agree that sports and politics intersect way more than the avg person realizes and I’m fine with espn covering them. However, a great deal of media (all forms) have turned towards opinion or editorials dominating their product more and more. In contrast, I would rather hear people who actually have…
Shoot! I mean, what fun is watching sports highlights w/o stories on flag protests and some song Kate Smith sang 100 yrs ago? ESPN is going to suck now..
Ugh Deadspin youre whiny, as for ESPN, youre also indeed whiny as well. Wheres the sports coverage for existential nihilists? Wheres the media coverage for people who arent in the middle of the giant bitchfest? Call me a centrist (even though my political views are in no way agnostic) call me left, right, or chicken…
You’re right, why should the network listen to their audience? It should show its viewers that yes, we will tell you what to think and what we think is important for you to know and consider, ratings be damned.
I think there is a bit of a difference between hearing an anthem after someone gets a Gold Medal and listening to Curt Shilling babble about Obama.
Personally, I think we need as many talking heads as possible babbling about politics all day just in case one of the geniuses over at CNN or FOX has to stop for two seconds and take a dump.
uhh good? I don’t need / want ESPN talking about anything other than sports. I also don’t want CNN talking about sports.
