Maybe because all the dudes get more screen time together and all have established interactions when none of those female characters, bar two, were ever in even the same room? There’s something major to say there about the inequality female characters have in terms of screen time or, especially in this film how their

the result of that fight having no effect on the outcome of the game

I’m just still hung up on the whole Species: “unknown” stuff.

Kinda love that this dude’s response to proof of your playthrough—after him calling it BS—is to criticize how you got through it in that time, rather than owning the own he just got handed.

For what it’s worth, I’m of a mind with you on Octopath. I really wanted to love it; the soundtrack reminded me of Square’s glory

So you called BS, got the receipts, and your response is to criticize his playthrough rather than eating the crow you clearly laid out for yourself?

I mean, damn.

Look, I am normally not at all bothered by video game adjacent content on the site. I like it. I’ve enjoyed the Tumblr coverage here. But Tumblr being a site video game enthusiasts enjoy doesn’t make it a “Video Game Disappointment.” I mean, fans of Netflix Marvel shows probably have a huge overlap with gamers, but it

I could be completely wrong here, but I’m guessing this is just Gita’s fixation on Tumblr being shoehorned into the article that has nothing to do with it.

I’m all for broad inclusion in topical discussions, but how exactly is Tumblr banning fucking and thus fucking itself a “video game” disappointment? Disappointing, sure, and still a fresh wound for many, but where’s the connection?

Yeah, this was pretty clearly his honest reaction. He also made clear that McGregor didn't deserve a rematch, so it's not like he was trying to hype it.

Completely agree. Rogan’s disappointment was evident more than his outrage.

Say what you want about Rogan, but he has waxed philosophical about honor and fighting and sportsmanship in defeat for some time. Not sure how “faux” his outrage was.

It’s also weird that there are no explicitly Jewish characters in a series of books that makes analogues to and draws on the imagery of the Holocaust.

You didn’t invent Harry Potter, you don’t own it and it doesn’t owe you anything either. She can do whatever she whats with it. All that this articles amount to is an entitled fan’s opinion on something they share a false connection with. And entitled fans are the worst kind. Just ask Star Wars.

The Author isn’t the casting director. Be glad it was still Asian in general and not recast to a white person

Eh, I just can’t be arsed to care about what little bits and bobs Rowling wants to tweet about and call canon. It just doesn’t really affect the original books.

But how else am I supposed to understand modern politics if I can’t equate them with Potter characters?!?!

Yeah, I didn’t get this question for that exact reason.

Everyone (Author, Fans, Critics) probably just needs to stop taking this series so seriously.

If Dumbledore’s sexuality was important to understanding him as a character, why wasn’t that explicit in the books?

They’re just books.  You finish one story and move on to the next.  Who cares what idiots do on Twitter?
