My personal “favorite” is when the behavior and anatomy of these fantasy creatures map to stereotypes of groups of people and we’re expected to just write this off as a wee coinkydink.

I forgot they were that close to each other. As if anyone needed proof Gamergate’s “actually it’s about ethics in journalism” was a massive lie.

This would be the perfect year to bring Joel McHale back and just let him loose on Activision and gaming in general.

Sorry pal, but the entire world is good guys and bad guys, and all people wanna do online is declare who is good and bad.

MIke Tyson was a horrible person who did his time and seems to have repented and changed. At least there's no evidence that he hasn't changed.

The ironic thing I’ve found is that those game fans who are the most vociferously suspicious of print journalists being paid by games publishers to bias coverage, is that these people take most of their cues from gaming youtubers who literally are paid by games publishers to bias coverage.

While I was streaming myself editing and animating a “video essay” of sorts that would demonstrate how ACNH could be improved with some basic but thoughtfully-integrated accessibility/quality-of-life additions, one of my viewers spotted my playtime: it was north of 500 hours.

As much as I want in-person live events again, I do hope digital events don’t go away entirely; the occasional streamed concert seems like a fun way to get music to a potentially wider audience; I miss GDQ’s couch and live audience but it’s been fun having some runners and games who couldn’t normally make it, so I
