Friend of mine did that to the hood of his old Audi. The result: there was, without fail, a dick drawn on his car at all times.

Well in that case - seems like a pretty damn good rule.

Yep! Good commenters are promoted, bad commenters are relegated. Keep at it though, maybe you’ll be back.

Or Jalopnik has a sense of humor and expects its readers to have one as well :-)

I had an 86 740 turbo wagon. Manual. Lots of trouble came from that car

No, the answer is always Old S-Class.

Volvo 940. Slow, cheap, quirky. You can pretend you’re in an indie comedy.

we can’t break the “No Miatas in my Garage” rule that was created after my Ex-wife left.

What the hell kind of rule is that?

I love how everyone is nitpicking curb weight and turbo v. NA when the thing can be had for less and doesn’t look like every other Miata on the road! Priorities people.

The way I read the specs on the Fiat site, you get the same performance from either model, but with the base Classica, you can have a manual transmission and most importantly, you don’t have to deal with a stupid Mazda touchscreen jutting out the top of the dash, ruining the simple interior.

So I’m liking what I’m reading here about the Fiat’s motor not being an issue and everything else being Mazda... so i decided to google around to see some more angles of it... and I came across this... someone photoshopped the Fiat to be the new 240Z... and I have to say... i may need a new pair of undies...

“Fiata Is Also The Answer” I believe is the official response.

You guys are apparently getting the Abarth extremely cheap. Over here (Europe), the top trim 2.0l ND (160hp) and top trim Fiat 124 (140hp) each cost about the same, give or take a couple €100. The Abarth (170hp) however is a whopping 50% more expensive than either of those (40k vs 27k).

I can confirm this. I recently got to visit the Mazda factory in Hiroshima and got see all those Mazdas and Fiats going down the line one after the other. Fun fact: Mazda assembly line doesn’t discriminate against models, they have 2 lines that assemble ALL models so you will see a CX5, then a Miata, then Fiata, then

This is bad news. I fell in love with the ND Miata and wanted to buy one, then saw the Fiat and knew I had to have one, then figured it would be too expensive and convinced myself just to buy a NA Miata later this year. But an Abarth for $28,000??? The car that Fiat seems to have specifically built for me is within my

Fiata!

Where’s the guy that kept saying the abarth was going to be $40k?

So that means now the answer will always be 124?

I suppose the adjustable springs and mechanical LSD makes the Abarth worth while. More track twisty goodness, less drag racing..
