They found him in a tax shelter?
They found him in a tax shelter?
Maybe they just bought two more gallons of coolant.
I grew up in Kankakee, on 7th Ave. That was an old K-mart which I believe was a Wards before they bought it.
We’ve been arguing that for days here. I still call BS.
Three on the ground, one spare in the back that adds up to four in my book
Sold at auction “as-is.” The stipulations are on the onus of the auctioneer, which makes Domino’s claims to IP infringement moot, since they gave the car away “as-is” instead of dismantling it first.
Driving is going to become significantly more dangerous as these technologies become more commonplace. It’s not just our litigiousness that compels corporations to warn us that hot coffee is hot in the US. It’s the fact that a large proportion of the population is fucking dumb as a bag of rocks. All this Co-Pilot and…
This reference is criminally underrated.
I typed in “Ferrari F40 tow point” into the Googles.
Yep, if they didn’t comply for all they knew the cops would have shown up to (man)handle them the same way they did the doctor on that United flight last year. (Remember that incident? I’m sure United’s PR team does - bet they never thought they’d look back at those days wistfully.)
Welcome to our current dystopia,…
I was riding down the side of a country road on my bike. Not a motorcycle, a legitimate bicycle with 14 speeds, skinny tires, and me in a lot of spandex. A County Sheriff blows past me, makes a u-turn, then comes up beside me and signals for me to pull over.
Volvos should play ABBA.
Now instead of being bored with the list of features and options rattled off by an attractive woman we can hear things such as an in depth and detailed seminar on water pump design. The latest in combined heat transfer and CFD analysis of cooling systems. That sort of thing.
The expectation that cops know the rules and laws of the road and drive accordingly is way over estimated.
Do not completely agree. Tesla is claiming that the car has collision avoidance features, and teaching drivers to use them and rely upon them. What makes this a showstopper is that there’s a big hole in this system, one that a) can have truly horrifying results, and b) is not intuitively easy to understand.
I work in the Aviation industry, and I don’t get how the Tesla autopilot system is remotely allowed. Aircraft autopilot is so much more rudimentary (less shit to avoid in the air), but still has multiple trained professionals backing it up in various ways.
And you’re supposed to stand clear when playing lawn darts. See how that ended up?
Fucking this. Even a half assed FMEA should have caught this.
Mud on sensors, worn sensors, or neglect can render any autonomous system useless.
Speaking of show stoppers: Tesla is basically using its drivers as subjects in human experiments. They don’t seem to have an Institutional Review Board (a search of their Web site doesn’t turn one up). My experience with IRBs leads me to think that the roll-out of Autopilot would have been very different if the…
