Partisan? You are as deeply confused as always turtleface. I’m not on your simplistic, childish, us-vs-them political spectrum. You on the other hand are partisan and can’t stand anything that disturbs your faith.

Ideologue? I haven’t put forth my ideas in this thread. I’ve merely stated what is what has been done. For some reason you don’t like that. Perhaps the realization that progressivism comes from the very tiny elite “progressives” claim to fight against is just too much for you to bare?

Then you believe in the visions of men like Ford, Rockefeller, and so on. I only tell you what that vision is, what they implemented towards those ends, and that it is currently working as it is designed to work and more of the same won’t make it into something else. It will continue to have the same failures for

Real wood needs the trim to cover the expansion joints for the wood. It also allows the cuts to be less precise. So they have the built in excuse of making it look like the real thing.

“Buddy, you’re not the top of this “thread branch.” This is:”

“there will never be a UBI because the economy don’t work in a way that you can just give out free money”

You project your own behavior on me. Try this early gem of yours:

The wealth has to come from somewhere. Someone must be productive, so the question remains, who pays for it? The taxation rate required for it is going to leave people who do that work very little better off than those who don’t work. Would you work 40 or more hours a week for a few grand after taxes more than UBI?

I haven’t insisted on anything. I have simply described the root cause, where the existing condition came from. The exact same place as where people, including you, are drawing the “solution” for it from. You are the one that stepped in to blather forth I didn’t understand the need of government to be involved in

You’re the one barking because he got his panties in a bunch over some words, Sam.

This is a thread branch regarding tax rates to pay for UBI. When you suggested that I could not get by on a very low official income I responded that I personally can do just about everything in modern society that costs money to hire someone for. I don’t need money like some helpless collectivist like yourself does.

The question that is at the top of this branch. The very simple question, you and the person whom I was responding to, are lashing out at me in a very insulting manner because they don’t want to admit that someone has to work to pay for UBI. So who is going to pay for it?

In other words, you have no argument as usual.

You have no idea who I am or my skill set and you’re very mistaken. Don’t project your own inabilities and privilege based existence on me. Now granted I’m not the hunting and fishing type, more the auto mechanic, plumber, handyman type and an excellent scavenger. But this is getting off track.

Just answer the question, who is going to pay for the UBI?

I love how going on the offensive is used by the most ignorant once they are put into a corner with a simple question.

If that’s the way you feel upon learning where where the present system came from then enjoy the medical system your “betters”, the utopia building industrialists that proclaimed themselves managers of society created for you. Enjoy the high prices of a system that feeds wealth up to the top of the pyramid. One where

In other words you expect highly productive people like myself to keep working and you’ll shame us into doing so. The problem with that tactic is the math doesn’t work. Doesn’t even come close to working and thus shaming will eventually fail.

Time has value and the tax rates required to finance UBI will make it

You keep being that example.

You need to get out more and see the world.
