You are getting a lot of shit for October (As an allergy sufferer who works with fiscal years- yes. As a human who enjoys light layering - co-sign, January deserves hatred. Fucking January, man) so I am going to focus on two parts of your list:
The sky is a perfect shade of blue. Apple picking. Raking leaves. Bonfires. Having to decide if you need a blanket again or if cuddling will do the trick. Pickling, canning, or freezing the rewards of your garden. So many good things in October.
Agreed. October is when you get nice crisp clear days and the leaves have changed. I love fall.
In absolute agreement. If anything it’s September that bears examination (re: T. Swift).
This is an excellent list, although I echo the sentiment that October isn’t so bad. November is when it starts to truly get cold and not even a day of turkey can restore the balance.
I’m throwing a flag on #14.
I have to take allergy meds year round because I’m mildly allergic to my cat. I find switching up the type of med about every 6 months keeps them working good. I’m on Claritin right now, I was on Zyrtec for the last 6 months. I also developed a food allergy at 26, real fun to find out that mushrooms(a favorite food…
Brother, I am FEELIN YOU. I was fat, dumb and happy until I hit 28 and then 28 hit me right back. Painful, itchy full-body rash? Yes, please. (And I mean FULL BODY rash. Job would have looked at me and gone, “Damn, son.”) Sinuses that feel like they’re packed with cement? Yep. Runny, itchy eyes? Uh-huh.
Ha! They only sell a pack of 15 of the Claritin D because I think you can use it to make other drugs? I always have to show my ID when I buy it.
I tried the local honey thing and it never worked. The honey was tasty though.
They are gross and I hate the feeling but it will defiantly make you feel human again.
Everyone has to do their part to maintain white supremacy.
Why the objection to noticing that this same solidarity wasn’t extended over the last 5 years when teenage black kids were killed by police? Or how white women went out and marched for Women’s Rights while emploring the mothers of those black children to join them while not doing the same themselves? It’s a wonderful…
The story gets a bit apocryphal sometimes, so I looked up the details. This cool dude is the one who exposed the survivorship bias and drew attention to what people weren’t seeing (the downed planes). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Wald
The biggest lie Americans, especially conservatives, love to tell ourselves is the one about self-determination and self-reliance.

White women: lying about what they know since forever...
I thought brothas were good at playing dumb to get themselves out of a jam but this administration has shown me that we ain’t seen shit.
Unseasoned as well.
