Its a sign superhero movies are running out of ideas when they start killing off primary characters just to have something to talk about. Remember the death of Superman in the DC universe? And both franchises resorted to superheroes fist fighting each other, too, for lame bureaucratic reasons.

I’m experiencing apocalypse fatigue. It seems all these lurid tales about apocalypses and dystopian nightmare societies is just a crutch for writers incapable of writing plausible reality-based screenplays.

You do know that government-controlled societies existed in BC, right?

This film started the longstanding trend in bloated franchise movie vehicles flooding the market with promo advertising in order to reap a big first weekend box office bonanza before word spread about just how awful it was. Also, why do most 90s films look like they were produced and directed by coke fiends?

‘Self driving cars’ is a solution in search of a problem. This is what the law of diminishing returns looks like when applied to technology. No, toasters hooked up to wifi and cars without drivers are of minimal utility.

Its ironic that the term ‘Capitalism’ was first coined by Karl Marx. It is just as artificial as any other economic theory, relying on the power of the nation-state to keep up the pretense that paper money is worth something.

No no no. I’m done with apocalyptic fascist dystopian wet dreams. Especially the ones that involve the fetishization of military grade firearms. For my weekly dose of angst I prefer to watch the Korean drama ‘My Ajusshi’. No gun play, no space aliens, no dystopian nightmare societies. And the storytelling is all the

Apparently, shtupping Kim Kardashian without protection can lead to significant brain cell loss.

It was just last year, wasn’t it, that West was hospitalized due to a psychotic episode. Though it may have been a stunt designed to use in court, just in case he got sued for walking out on a concert 15 minutes after it started after cursing his audience.

Does ‘pop culture weekend’ include other cultures? The Korean pop music star IU is starring in a new drama series named ‘My Ajusshi’ (awkwardly translated to ‘My Mister’). Its a dark tale about a 21 year old temp worker hired to sabotage a middle-aged office worker. Its a star-making performance. Makes Jessica Jones

I discovered after the fact that Happy Endings was aired wildly out of order, apparently because someone wanted the ‘best’ episodes on sweeps weeks. Which undercut the story arc (such as it was). They did the same thing with ‘Powerless’. And yes, Happy Endings’ was my favorite show for a couple years.

Black window’s story arc is undermined by the absurdist fantasy it is embedded in. She isn’t a person, she’s a live-action cartoon character. I’ve given up fretting over the personal angst of Peter Parker and Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne and whatever Black widow’s real name is. Because they’re nothing but CGI generated

Yeh, things tend to look like other things sometimes. Captain America vaguely resembles the guy on the Roto Rooter commercial.

The glassy-eyed stare behind West’s eyes indicates he doesn’t really have it in him to be ironic.

Someone recently Tweeted that people should stops saying West is bipolar. Because the commentor is bipolar, himself, and that did not cause him to become an effing Republican. In the same way just getting drunk does not cause a person to scream misogynist and anti-semitic BS like Mel Gibson.

Iron Man’s narrative is “technology is magic” and “The world needs super-rich assholes to protect us little people.”

His argument is basically ‘I resent people who are smarter than me’. Heaven forbid a site called ‘AV Club’ critically review a film!

Wow, what a dipshit. Trump ‘won’ because Russia altered the vote count in 21 states. And even after that he lost by 3 million votes.

Its not as though this film was considered cinematic gold when it came out. This was a stupid film and people knew it was stupid at the time. 1987 had a lot of stupid films. This film made ‘Mannequin’ look like ‘Citizen Kane in comparison.
