Kate Winslet is about as chipper and plucky as a load of wet laundry. Even in her comedies she comes across as a tragic heroine.

Bugs Bunny was an adult cartoon character. I mean it was made to entertain adults as the opening act before a film in a theater. Bugs on children’s TV was his second career.

I noticed back watching the series “You, Me and the Apocalypse” a year(ish) ago that British-style humor these days is spiralling. Its becoming cruel and morose and bleak.

Hollywood is in a PANIC to create a fresh batch of ‘movie stars’ to fuel future projects. Tom Hanks is now in his 60s, Robert Downey Junior is 52, Vin Deisel is 50, Paul Rudd is 48. They cannot place Scarlet Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence into EVERY film they make, though they seem to be trying.

He was in an episode treating Darryl and White Josh.

People like to say Trent is worse than Rebecca because he’s willing to stoop to  blackmail. But Rebecca blackmailed Paula into to helping her with Trent. She’s worse because she REALIZES she crossed a line. That’s why Nathaniel telling her she’s a good person seemed to sting. Because she knows otherwise. If the finale

What set the last two episodes apart is the level of ‘fan servicing’ (meant in a good way). They’re rewarding longtime viewers with the most obtuse callbacks imaginable, viewers who get the jokes are REALLY getting the jokes. Early in season 3 McKenna had said she was getting bored with the old musical cues. Happily,

A hallmark of 1980s Hollywood films is so many of them seemed to have been written, produced and filmed by raving coke heads.

The previous episode of CxGF may have been the best of the season, At least the best since the superlative episode 305

Eastwood would have to work really hard to create a film that sucked more that his 2010 abomination ‘Hereafter’. The love story between a Charles Dickens nerd (who didn’t actually read, only listened to books on tape) and a rich woman in another country he never met, never corresponded with, never even knew existed.
