Good point (and correct), although I will cling to my memory of the initial magazine articles listing 333hp and 343hp. They were likely incorrect.

Nothing a Sawzall can't fix!!
Add to that the experience of getting a ride in a supercharged S54 clownshoe just after graduating high school, and holy bananas the want is strong
In later years, yes. They were a big deal when they came out. I drooled and drooled over them in middle school. 333hp in a tiny roadster with huge rear arches and wide tires and tasteful quad exhausts was just so extraordinary at the time. I still have it high on my list of affordable dream cars.
I've been messing around with mopeds (with pedals, like in Hot Rod, not the scooters you sit on like a toilet, like a Vespa) lately, for a few reasons. One, for a few hundred dollars and a few hours of your time, you can quadruple the power output without external power adders like a supercharger or turbo. You can end…
It was a hearse joke...

The thing about the likelihood of each scenario is that one of them has video evidence of a man walking into, or at least towards, the path of a race car that he knew couldn't move out of the way. Until we see the video from Tony's car (which will surely be made public or leak soon), that's all we have to go on. Watch…
He got sideways as a result of hitting Ward, not a cause. It happens as the car is passing Ward.
This, NO ONE is pointing this out. The rev comes after the hit, or at best (worst?) at the exact time of the hit. Perhaps even as a result of the hit. Again, as you mention, only in the unlikely circumstance that the phone picked up Stewart's car over the many others that we closer to the mic.
Well done, sir
I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO COMMENT ON
Rickrolling seems to have gone out of fashion, but I still laff every tiem
"OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!" that firing pen clicked and the resulting shot rang out, shutting down the entire concourse with those 4 words. I was rather loud. The look of fear was pronounced on his face as he stumbled with the keys to open the door. The old lady in the wheel gave me a thumbs up and nodded in approval.…
Well, no, because there's a big ratio between the motors and wheels in this car. I think Tesla's motors spin out to about 14krpm. The rear wheels are not spinning that fast.
It *does* make that much torque to the wheels. So do most cars. He "launched" at super low wheel speed. It'd be like doing a dyno pull in 1st gear, of course it would spin the tires. A 200ft-lb gas engine makes 2000ft-lb to the wheels if first gear is 3:1 and the diff ratio is 3.33:1. Surprise?
"It'll save you an extra walk to and from the galley"
Strange that he would have you rev it up. Throttle would be pretty easy to control while under the hood... I say it's his own fault :P
This, exactly this.
CLOS: I teach a class for Boy Scouts on car maintenance and I tell them that, you know, the best thing to do is to learn to read the owner's menu and to join AAA.
