Quite right. If you’re happy with a car based SUV with a ~380hp SC V6 why would you be interested in a 700hp SC V8 with terrible gas mileage. I think I’m learning, through these comments, that this vehicle just might transcend cross-shopping / brand image norms altogether.

Toyota actually recalled a bunch of Tacomas and Tundras because the FRAMES rusted through. Suspension mounts fell off, frames bent in half, and it was no favor to their customers since it took a class action lawsuit to get them to recall the trucks for it. But you want to talk about Rams rusting? Any vehicle will rust

There is absolutely a premium connotation to the Grand Cherokee. Overland are $60k and SRTs are in the Low $70's. Well appointed, leather stitched, air ride on some trims, quilted leather, suede headliners, leather stitched dash, doors, trans tunnel, carbon fiber, etc.

So, this is an enthusist site, so I can confidently suggest not doing so.
