They can make more Remo Williams once my Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League Kickstarer is done, and not before!

Wow. That is pretty blatant. Let me go talk to my lawyer, @The Taco Bell Bell.

Given the number of shows Lorne Michaels now has a hand in, I'd say it's inevitable.

Also, here's another Star Wars-related thing that isn't really enough to hang an article on, but still needs to be seen.

I pointedly avoided making a Caruso joke, figuring the commentariat would come up with something much better than I could myself. Clearly, I made the right call.

In an interesting twist, the last notable Great Expectations adaptation was directed by Alfonso Cuarón, who directed my favorite Harry Potter movie.

One of the most fascinating things about the early years of the league is which cities got teams and which didn't. Because baseball, right from the beginning, is all about New York, Boston, Philadelphia - big cities get ball clubs. But the NFL basically grew out of a local league in Ohio, so it started as all these

Still less insulting than the Redskins…

Okay, you got me. I couldn't find a photo that met our specs and faced China. But you still get the idea.

I always thought the myth about lemmings wasn't that they committed mass suicide, but that they were so determined to follow each other that they'd follow each other over a cliff. Which is probably why the myth persisted. It's such a handy metaphor!

I'm adding "failed predictions" to my to-do list. That sounds like a good one. Ethnic slurs, I'll probably keep my distance from.

As usual, @Dikachu:disqus hits it right on the nose (okay, poor word choice). The misconception was that we're evolving to be taller; in fact, we just have access to more and better amounts of food. And in recent years, food laced with growth hormone. But even in medieval times, the nobility were tall, because they

I don't know Mercury Rev's catalog as well as I should. And I do know, and love, that TMBG song (and the Egg on which it's based - such a great bit of weirdness among the monolithic slabs of the capitol district), but you're also right that it's very specific.

My photoshop skills are good. My fact-checking skills, however are not. "The Final Problem," was in fact the Moriarty/Reichenbach Falls story. The WWI-set story was "His Last Bow." Should've have looked that up instead of relying on my spotty memory.

In fairness, that was entirely my fault. You'd think after doing a dozen of these, I'd remember the basic format.

The Surfing one immediately reminded me of I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, although there wasn't really a way to work that into the article.

It is a pretty under-the-radar feature, although I'm pretty sure I've arrived if @Dikachu:disqus and @Scrawler2:disqus  are here. I'm honestly not sure where they could put the column that would be a better fit, though - it's probably the least pop culture-y thing on the site, so there isn't an obvious place to put

Wow. Thanks for all of that, @avclub-3db41011acc2d229176bf6a92202728d:disqus . (I don't know how to say that without sounding sarcastic, but I'm not being sarcastic) I probably spent as much time looking up Dasa as I did on the whole rest of the article, and I was still unclear on a lot of the history. I summarized as

Actually, that was because a real-life vandella destroyed the dreams and drained the life out of all of Motown's female acts. (by which I mean Diana Ross)

Fictional demons is a separate page, linked from this page. It's a pretty long list, although Kindestadt wasn't on there - some Buffy obsessive out there is slipping!
