I was really struck by wondering if I should feel depressed or hopeful at the end. None of them are getting what they want, but there's a peace about it. Even in Nigel's body language as he returns to the church. I think that's the beauty of the show. Like they said in the interview, they aren't answering questions.

The thing I love about this show is that someone involved clearly knows what it's like to be in a clergy role.  As a former pastor there are things in every episode that I can directly relate to.  The idea of a reverend not having any friends isn't an insecurity thing. The loneliness that surrounds the profession is
