Heh. This is me, all right. I hadn’t looked at ticket prices this year because I assumed they were completely out of reach. Just went and looked, and upper-deck but with decent sight lines is $36. That’s a few dollars less than in previous years. Actual good seats lower down are still at least three digits, though.

They made tickets way to expensive. It’s good to know they’re lowering prices, but I suspect that since tickets have been so expensive since the new stadium people are just assuming they’re priced out.

If you ask a lot of Yankee fans, they’ll have the exact same answer. Citi is a vastly superior ballpark from a fan point of view.

My favorite part is that they’re confused about how to get young people to the park when the problem is that Yankees tickets are offensively overpriced, and we young people have no money. It’s not rocket science.

New Yankee Stadium sucks. It’s monolithic and alienating, and makes the game on the field feel like an afterthought. The design of Citi Field is so much more open and welcoming.
