I know it’s usually the standard to poo poo these early responses as meaningless, but the specificity of these comments gives me hope. Please be good!

Honestly was thinking alt-reality Doctor before I read this because of the alt-reality setup so far and the fact that we haven’t got a good explanation for why the Master’s a) alive and b) no longer feeling empathetic about life despite all the Doc’s work with her in season 10 yet (though I’m hopeful one’s coming,

I think it’s less that we want the information now and more that we don’t want the showrunner feeding us lies in the interest of selling the mystery.

Remember Jackson Lake? He was also the Doctor for a while. And then he wasn’t.

An actual incarnation of the doctor, while not fitting anywhere into their regenerations? Hm...

I don’t disagree that there is something more going on. However...

The theory I’ve seen in other threads posits this Doctor as having originated in the period between Two’s “official” regeneration into Three, carrying out some operations for the High Council.

Jesus Christ, she’s the fucking Doctor. It’s not that complicated, Thirteen scanned her, she even stated that they have “the same brain,” and Chris Chibnall confirmed.

I was spoiled on Twitter by a tweet about the first black woman Doctor that had like 2K retweets before the episode had even aired in America. I somehow avoided Rise of Skywalker spoilers for a whole weekend, but Doctor Who fans are the worst at this.

Her outfit is amazing.  So perfect.  I love her.

The new Doctor does kind of seem to confirm that theory, but I have a feeling there’s something else going on. Whatever truth the Master discovered was so devastating that he destroyed Gallifrey over it. It’s a little hard to gage what he would consider a serious affront, but simply having another set of lives doesn’t

Once Jo changed clothes, she acted like The Doctor: she nailed it. I’m looking forward to the “how” and “why” as much as the next fan. But the key point to me was that I believed her character. And as Connie states, I’d like to see more of “her” story, just like I wouldn’t have minded a little more War Doctor in my

It was so much fun seeing her as the Doctor.. At the beginning when the show her daily life, you just had this feeling she was going to die.. Who new she Killed it in her character! That episode has been the best so far for the new Doctor. Loved the Twists with Captain Jack. You know she will be a reoccurring

“Focusing on the Gotham City Sirens, there were only three of us and we were all well known”

Well, here’s hoping we get some Question action eventually.  I’d like that.

Shes really swinging clout as a producer/star these days, so I can definitely see her mindset of trying to open more opportunities for others. Look how Marvel and its breakout actors have been helped by opening up the toy box to more than just the usual Avengers players.

It’s interesting to note that the Doctor (Jodie) scans Gat (who was awesome and had a great costume and who I hope to see again) and refers to her as a *Gallifreyan* and not a Time Lord.
