I think that's the point. Nobody is making any bones about Gloria being a "trophy wife", not even Gloria. The fact that Sofia Vergara can milk so much out of going over-the-top parody of "hot Latina woman" speaks volumes for what someone can do with an otherwise unpleasant casting.

They did include the "Justified" series finale in the list.

True that. Farr was playing young man character roles on TV during the REAL Korean War.

Those two words, "It failed," in Claudia Christian's deadpan voice was very jarring, especially after the earlier two seasons' openers were so triumphant in tone.

One more honorable mention: the VERY short-lived Western "Wildside", noted for including Howard Rollins Jr., Meg Ryan, and pro wrestler Terry Funk in its cast…
"Into a lawless land, they brought their own style of justice. Five men, one mission: The Chamber of Commerce of Wildside!"

I see what you did there. Well played.

The PoI opening narration worked in the first couple of seasons, but now that the format has been changed to this "Spy vs Spy" gimmick, I can't figure out what's going on.

Paper Chase was a double win in that during the theme song, John Houseman as Kingsfield cuts in with a three sentence summary of the premise: "The study of law is something new and unfamiliar to most of you, unlike any other schooling you have ever known before. You teach yourselves the law, but I train your minds.

Babylon 5 changed the opening intro every season. The final season they dropped the opening narration in favor of a string of sound bites representing the story over the last four seasons.

Fin: "That's messed up, man."

Tasha Robinson, by the time you make it to Season 3 of B5, you WILL be tearing things up trying to find the other two seasons. The various plots reach such a climax by the end of season three that you will have to know how it plays out in the end.

Not that insane. Principals and other administrators, at least in Illinois, have to have experience as teachers. From there they often take adjunct jobs in university education schools. There are also many high school teachers who either moonlight or move on to the junior college level or even jobs as university

Not a problem. Diane Neal was "convicted" for conspiracy to murder on SVU. Apparently she was sentenced to become the new ADA when Stephanie March left.

It seems like Wolf and his crew have managed to avoid these mistakes in his new Chicago franchises. While L&O Windy City would be something I'd really like to see, they're doing a good job with Fire and P.D.

At least 4 more films so we can have Fast and Furious Ocean's 11.

Nope. The last line would be
"Then we'll trade it for a Chevy S-10"…

Tell them Danny Trejo eviscerated the kid with an ax for breaking his nose with a football. Unfortunately, Florence Henderson was a bit slow on the draw with the candy bar.

It was a JOKE! I knew about Petty a good six years before I ever heard of R.E.M.

We will not speak of an entire generation of men of a certain middle age who still have fantasies regarding a young Julie Newmar and will fight anyone who speaks of a different actress being "the definitive Catwoman", then. Just sayin'.

Before her film career really took off, she had a regular role on a one-season prime time drama "A Year in the Life" (around 1987). SJP was absolutely gorgeous and not nearly as long-faced as she would later be.
