It didn't get caught in the brakes, it got caught in a brake duct, which blocked the airflow to the brakes causing them to heat up and messing with the very sensitive aerodynamics of the car.
I'm surprised, and I don't know if it's just because of the angle, that the new Beetle doesn't actually look that much bigger than the classic one.

You can only get left-over inventory, if you can find it. There's no 2014 model, whereas all the other Mustangs currently for sale are 2014MY. But there's no doubt in my mind that Ford is secretly designing a 2015 Boss for release as soon as the 2015 comes out.
Weren't the estimates for it like $70k? You can get a GT500 and have like $12k left over to fine-tune the suspension, strip it out, and track-prep it while still being streetable, since at the moment you can't get a Boss.
