Jango is right, they are super tiny... honestly, the easiest way to transition over there, which includes a place to live, is to try and get a job teaching English. All you need typically is a bachelors degree and to not be a fuck boy.

I spent the last year in Japan. It’s the most amazing place you could ever hope experience. I’m currently in the process of trying to move there permanently, that’s how much I loved it.
