@Formerlythegreatestdriver: As much as I hate to be the apostrophe police, this one really bothers me. There's no apostrophe in Willys. For the record, it's pronounced like willis, not willies.

@80Kofdrew: Well put. If the US market will support a diesel mini-truck, Mahindra is going to know it fairly quickly. If it won't, I don't think it will kill them.

@Motor_Yakuza: Not the whole engines, just the bearings. Can't you hear them moaning "Mains, Mains..."?

@ReverendDexter: Very good, Reverend Dexter. And do you know what to say to anybody who shows you a purportedly genuine '67 Z/28 with Z/28 badging? That's right! *cough cough* *bullshit* *cough cough*.

@VeeArrrSix: Right after I get all the vomit out of my keyboard and the seared in afterimage of that abomination out of my retinas. I.E. hopefully very soon.

@Buickboy92: Funny, that's exactly what I was going to say. You saved me the trouble.

It's a Thunderturd! I like it, and the price isn't too high, leading me to believe that a stack of benjamins adding up to somewhat less than his asking price could put it in my driveway. Especially if I let him keep the subs and amps that are taking up the precious dead hook- err, golf club space in the trunk.

@SeanKHotay: I used to see a guy on I-275 near M-14 almost every day doing the exact same thing. I wonder if it's the same guy?

@NiceNurseRatched: I don't see any parked in handicap spots, I say more power to 'em if they can afford to own and drive the cars as Enzo intended.

Looks like there's a couple Ferraborghinis in there. I guess even the rich aren't immune to poor taste.

I'll allow myself to assume that this post was solely for my benefit. Thank You Murilee, you saucy wench you!

@danio3834: The EPA, same as today. The cycles were very different though and IRL you were lucky to get 20 combined with a slushbox.

@danio3834: It was vacuum actuated. I'm sure no real harm could occur unless you tried to shift while the car was moving. The later cars had Shift On The Fly.

@Unregular: Around '85, the pin and stop car warnings disappeared and it became a "Shift On The Fly" system.

@Unregular: A wonderful site and a great resource for any AMC owner, not just Eagles.

@macndub: Jeep didn't eat Eagle, they existed side by side and both got eaten by Chrysler.
