@brandegee: The Eagles used the same transfer cases as the Quadra-Trac Jeeps NP119 for the full time and NP219 for the shiftable systems. The low-range equipped NP129 or NP229 is an easy swap, since all you have to do is cut a hole in the floor and install a boot for the range lever. When I get around to converting

@overheadcam: Boy, I'm just heart clicking and promoting all over the place today. 120k miles? It isn't even broke in yet. I assume it's an automatic from your gas mileage numbers, but I'm pretty sure you can do better if you keep your foot out of the carburetor;-) (I've never gotten better than 20mpg out of my

@autotronic: Hearty-clicky and comment promotion for a fellow victim of AMCitis. I have (as I'm sure many here are tired of hearing) an '84 Eagle wagon and a '63 Rambler American. They are both great cars in their own way, and I wouldn't want to trade them for anything. I'm sorry (but not terribly surprised) to

@bandacycle: I really wish I could have put that so succinctly. Thank you.

@FP- Your Volvo is awesome! Anyway: Considering that most of these cars were initially made of melted down awesome American cars, it seems somehow appropriate.

@aneuryssimo: After thinking a bit more on the subject (yes, I have a lot of free time), it occurs to me that it really doesn't matter if the cars were only there for a few minutes, they're still parked illegally and inconsiderately. For the record, the F50 could have been pulled straight into the non-handicapped

@zeeboid: He had you paged rather than climb in the passenger's side? What a tool. Or did he just want to yell at you for parking like a jerk?

@Elhigh: Thank you. To be honest though, I can do knee-jerk reactionary asshole pretty well, too.

@Echtbrummbaer: Actually, the wing on the Plymouth is functional and adjustable. It was so effective that NASCAR outlawed it.

@SagarikaLumos: I carry a valve-core remover for just these situations.

@aneuryssimo: Re; your entire little snippy rant, including the part about having no compassion at all for your fellow man.

@HoonThatFerrari: To clear things up, I never wished harm to the cars, I simply stated that any evil that befell them was the fault of whomever parked them like that.

@goatrope: Not all conditions that qualify one for a handicap permit are readily visible or would necessarily prevent you from playing golf with a cart.

@Ian Wish: Actually, a lot of people who golf are older and have heart conditions that prevent them from doing too much walking (so they use the golf carts). These people often have handicap permits.

Oh, that poor, poor kitty cat. I saw a gorgeous '72 convertible at Cruise Night Thursday, it makes me sad to think it could have just as easily ended up here.

@Sam: I don't see any handicap plates or placards, do you?

@JalopyPixellatedViscera: Technically, they're both in the same handicapped spot. The loading zone (clearly marked "NO PARKING", BTW) is part of the same handicapped spot that the F50 has one wheel in. It doesn't matter that it's only one wheel, because you have rendered the spot useless to the people it has been

@Qu33f_Machine: I believe (IANAL) that if your car is damaged while being impounded, not only is the tow company not responsible for any damage, but your insurance won't pay either. The premise behind this is that if you hadn't been doing whatever caused your car to be towed in the first place, the damage wouldn't

In the interest of not promoting any douchebag comments, I'll make this one a standalone.
