loved Snow Crash...

we have only been able to load it on smartphones and then screen-share to the smart TV (from which you still can’t access HBO Max)

it should be 1:12 but will somehow run 2:10

Is it safe to assume the runtime will be about 25 minutes too long?

I was a big fan of the books, and while I can see why Cussler wasn’t happy with it (Zahn was great, but nothing like Al Giordano of the novels)... that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and wish they made more.

Was the plan to charge a pay-per-view on top of the monthly fee? I question even then if they could make their money back. But if it’s just to add to their available films and shows and hope to get X new subscribers, then there’s no way it could possibly be worth it.

I haven’t seen this, but read about the actual incident. It’s extremely clear that she was self-medicating (whether she was an addict or being driven crazy by an abscess tooth is irrelevant). To devote a documentary to defend her is obscene. It’s just a shame there was no other adult to intervene. It seemed there was

Haven’t see RTS in at least 30 years - looking forward to that (and Eddie Grant’s scintillating theme song). I hope it holds up! That was a staple when we first got cable TV.

nah kid, just bettah.

much better job than the o/p

that’s a terrible accent... it’s Fahkin’ not fawkin’

I’m a lifelong MA resident - I’ve always associated the term with the drivers, and that was later co-opted for their sports fans (Pats and B’s mainly).

I came here to say just this... but I kinda liked League...

I suppose because the movie was based around the music scene (there were several other musical numbers from Crucial Taunt) - just a guess why it was left out; watched this recently and it still holds up.

If Unions are involved, then HR is toothless, very little they can do (that’s not condemnation of unions, but if you have a union go to them, not HR). But if the megalomaniacal boss is someone other than the CEO, HR can be very effective if they are empowered to do so. #metoo as well as various lawsuits and class

CA has very strict PTO laws, so they are definitely part of the 34% (along with all NYC, NJ, MA, CT, RI, VT, Pittsburgh & Philly, MD, DC, MI, Chicago, AZ, OR & WA - and a few other metro areas).

I would go with the 2nd part - to entitled to notice, and likely shielded from the peasants by her executive team so she can’t notice if she wanted to.

I mean, they’re in CA, so by law everyone earns 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked (they can cap at 48 hours per year - which is typically 6 days) - so they had to have at least that. I have to assume (or would hope) these 5 days are additional or above and beyond the state requirements.

Very fair of course... but I’m also lazy and know I wouldn’t cancel inside a month whether I ever watched another D+ show or not. All moot of course, because we like the channel and get our $7 worth every month as it is.

We’re a family of 4 with Disney+ so I don’t mind paying $30 for something we no doubt would have seen in the theaters. $30 is half what we’d have paid. But if we didn’t have D+ already? No, I would not sign up, pay and then pay another $30 just to see this.
