I’d counter RB shouldn’t be taken in RD1 today under current rookie contracts. Why bother? If you have the other pieces in place, you can go for volume over skill.

I know we’re all supposed to bemoan the plight of the RB on this site - but the proof is there - if a team has the other (more) critical pieces in place -namely O-line and passing game, you can replace a star RB and get 80% of his value for 10% of the cost.
