California offers the black classic plates on new cars as of 2015 or 2016. My last 4 vehicles have had it. It costs an extra $40 or so a year, but it makes my red and black vehicles look a lot better.

this looks like a creepy fish... and not in the “see it in the dark and its spooky” way... more like “your aunt that likes to kiss you on the mouth” kind of creepy.
